It is a nice place to visit during mornings. As the butterflies are in open, their presence is not guaranteed.

So if you want to go this place you need to make sure that it's on a bright sunny day. If it's raining or over cast then you may not see any butterfly. The place is quite small in fact it's tiny a place. They have some birds in a big walk in type cage. Make this trip only if... More

We went their a little late in the evening so not many butterflies to spot. This place is a few kms away from the shahakari spice farm, so try to cover it part of the circuit. the caretaker did mention that the best time to come here is in the mornings by when you have a chance to see more... Me and 3 others visited the conservatory around the 20th of december 2013, we used google maps to find our way and a wonderful road it was that led up to this location : ) We were taken on a tour by the guide who gave us time to soak things in and catch glimpses of a host of different... More

After having found this place on trip advisor , we were induced to visit this Conservatory . To our surprise , we found many birds ! The owner , Dr. Jyoti and her family are indeed passionate about nature and biodiversity .She was very kind to extend her warm welcome and spared time with us to show her house's roof... More

Having planned a butterfly conservatory in the middle of Goa seemed unusual to me initially. On visiting, it was an amazing experience, Though we went in the afternoon, when the butterflies were having a siesta time, but the overall experience was refreshing. My 4 year old had a lot of questions. The conservatory run by the husband and duo who... More

If you like touristy places with lots of things to do, and lots of people around, this is NOT for you. However, I loved it for the following reasons 1. Labour of love by two lovely people - a Homeopathy doctor & an engineer 2. Beautifully created green landscape attracting a variety of flora & fauna in a small hillock.... More

Brilliant effort by a nature loving family to conserve and increase the population of butterflies. During year ends you get to see various types of butterflies and also the owner takes out time to explain details about each of the butterfly family, their food and habits.

Really impressed by the dedication with which the garden has been set up. Don't miss the awesome rainwater harvesting system built into the owner's house. Recommended for the nature lover and the bird watcher / butterfly watcher type who is willing to spend some time for a sighting. The butterflies apparenty don't wake up till the sun is out and...
