The man that was there when we visited had such good knowledge of the local marine life. The entire aquarium was built as naturally as possible to minimise disruption of the environment. You even get to pat and feed the animals. We had a great time and would definitely go again.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Hervey Bay Reefworld is a great spot to take the kids. Don't go there expecting Seaworld. This is a family run business that has been around for over 20 years, and does a lot of work in marine rehabilitation. It is down to earth with an emphasis on environmental protection.

Guy who runs it very good at explaining everything you need to know about the marine life of the area. The aquarium isn't huge but great fun feeding the giant turtles and sharks. All day pass lets you come and go to catch various feeding times.

Just a small average aquarium. The best thing about it was being able to get close and feed and pat the turtles.

We had a group of 47 seniors, who had no place to sit down at all on the way round (only 2 small chairs at the entry) the turtle feeding is finer for say half a dozen but no good with a group.

The reefworld place is pretty damn good. Wasn't particularly keen on going because I was sick but my friend dragged me there and honestly glad he did. The owner or manager was a super chill guy with a winning personality. Between getting to pat turtles, feed sharks and giant fish you really do get a good experience from it. Seriously... More
