Sight seeing tour

Need plenty of time to go round this ruin!!!! Very interesting if you're into military history!!! Picnic area, and a play area for kids

The fort was built as part of a chain of defences in 1870 to deal with a threat of invasion from the Prussians. It formed a model for many of the massive defences built later for World War One. This fort is well worth a visit as it incorporates many areas of history and although alot of it was damaged by the German invasion, there is still much to see.

take a picnic and make a day of it. If this is your sort of thing, very interesting. Has kids play area and places to sit for picnic

This is an underground maze of tunnels and rooms which was buiwas in the 1800's was used in both world wars and is a fascinating place to visit for both adults and the kids. We have three young kids ranging in age from 2-6 years and they loved it even more than we did.
