Topsham museum

What a lovely little place, well worth a wonder down to, in a quaint old English fishing village. With the bonus of a little cafe with great cream teas.

Quaint Museum by the rivet in Topsham. Free entry and great cream teas. Lovely courtyard and riverfront gardens. History of Topsham, salmon fishing and info on local area.

This place is run by volunteers and proved to be a little gem. Kids will love it cos it's not too big and you'll be round it in 20-30. minutes. There is a little cafe which serves teas and coffees.

I have visited Topsham Museum a number of times. It is small but beautifully laid out and very well kept (by volunteers) with informative and interesting displays. They serve good teas too. And all in a delightful setting.

The museum is only open some afternoons between Easter and October ,but the gardens situated on the opposite side of the road are open every day all the year and offer seats and river views. Hence it is an excellent place just to sit and relax. The Museum itself is in a 17th Century Merchants house and some of the... More

Although we couldn't find out much about our family history, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had interesting displays and it was an easy museum to get around. The afternoon tea of scones, jam and cream was also excellent. A lot of volunteers in a very community minded little town.

A very interesting quaint place. Lovely to see and read all about the local life from years gone by. Well kept. Loved the entrance with the little garden across the road,on the rivers edge.
