We went to Lake Tahoe for our younger kids to experience winter activities. There were great reviews about the Heavenly gondola and we decided to take the ride. It took us some time to get to the gondola ride entrance. -- it is not located at the Ski Run Blvd., but near the casino and the mall. The gondola ride... More

Lake Tahoe is one of America's most beautiful spots. You can enjoy a spectacular view of the lake as you ride the Heavenly Gondola to the summit. It is well run and staffed well. I can think of no more beautiful ride. The skiing at the top is great as well. A new ski lodge is a great addition to... More

If you have small kids or older family members or other non-skiiers with you on your trip to Lake Tahoe, the Heavenly gondola is a must do. It has 2 stops, one is an observation 'deck' where you check the lake and the surrounding mountains and the other is the ski resort area where people can play in the snow... More

Why go to a crowded lodge when you can go to the main area of the village and hop on the Gondola? It takes you up the mountain where you can get to NV or CA in no time! More

Best view of the lake on a clear day - you can see the town, lake and Homewood ski area on the other side of the lake as you go up. Expensive tho - around $80 for the ride up and back. Can stop at a mid-point to take more pictures. More

A pretty view of Lake Tahoe, but charged $32 as of Feb 2012. wouldn't go again for the price, but glad I did it once. If you go make sure to stop off at lookout point on way up (doesn't stop on way back down). More

It cost $30-$40 for a ride up. The queues can be long but if you are off season it takes a few minutes before you get in. The Gondola seats 4-8 people so during the week when its not crowded you may ride it alone. If you're scared of heights, don't look around. The Gondola starts at the base (elevation... More
