I was really into the whole ski vacation thing (I'm from Florida). AFTER I bought chili's and those little warm packs that go in your boots, gloves, etc. After that, it was all downhill :)

I am an Epic Pass holder with my home base in Park City, Utah. I am in Tahoe for the week and my young nieces were extremely excited when I told them that they were going to ride the gondola for the first time. Let's be honest, the cost per ticket is ridiculously high for a day pass, but being... More

[Late post]. Boarded at Heavenly in December 2013. Got lucky since they got what would be the 2nd biggest snowfall of the 2013-2014 snow season (24") a week before when a major storm plowed through. Unfortunately conditions weren't enough to open-up the California side of the mountain. Base depth was somewhere in the 20-inch range if I recall correctly. We... More

Heavenly is never rated near the top of North American ski resorts by the ski magazines largely because it has too many groomed intermediate blue runs to satisfy the young expert skiers that make up the majority of these magazines readership ... my wife and I have returned to Heavenly for the last 30 plus years to experience the mild... I've spent literally hundreds of days skiing here over the last 20 years and it's always enjoyable (as long as there is enough snow for coverage). The mountain is huge and has runs for every type of skier, including lots of tree and off trail areas. Weekends can be a challenge as lift lines can run long, and windy days... More

I've never been here for the winter or to ski but it is definitely a lot of fun in the summer months. Took the gondola ride and then the ski lift to the top. Great view of the lake, fun rope obstacle courses, hiking/walking trails, shopping, and food.

This is the perfect little spot for families. There is miniature golf, trampoline jumping, a little movie theater, tons if stores and little restaurants, music, coffee, ice cream etc etc...we had so much fun in this little spot. We had a six year old and several teens with us and it was great for everyone.

Love the Views ! THEY ARE AWESOME ! This is very scenic experience and there are very few places like it. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. However, food was an issue during our visit. There were several places to eat on the mountain, but most of them were closed. So, after waiting in long lines just try... More

Everyone seemed out of control, literally. I was hit by another skier, he did not even stop. My ski was hit just right and cracked open. I could not get down the hill. Ski patrol would not help and had the never to yell at me for being in the way and a hazard:(

It was my first time visiting lake Tahoe and I feel so lucky to find this place on TripAdvisor when planning for my one-day trip. I visited this place in summer, so the weather was pleasing and I just needed to wear a light-jacket. Even though we got there a bit late, around 4pm, and missed the chance of trying... More
