My friend and I just went to stay at Heavenly May 29-June 4 2009. Everyone was really helpful and everything was really convenient. We don't have kids but it looked like there were a lot of things to do for them. Apparently in the winter, the middle of the hotel becomes a skating rink. When we were there, it was... more

Only enough greens to keep us busy for more than a day, but it was a great day! They were pretty hard greens too. Sierra had more/easier/longer greens, but heavenly had better views. I would recommend doing both for beginners! However, there were tons of Blues and Black. I’m sure the advanced could have fun for days here! Beware –... more

Went spring skiing April 1st, and Heavenly did not disappoint. In my opinion, the place is so huge, there hardly is a long wait for the lifts. Ski school for the kids is great and the staff are really good with the kids. Best views of the lake and surrounding area. The price for everything in and around Heavenly is... more

We normally ski in the Swiss or French Alps but spent three days at Heavenly and three at Squaw whilst on a trip to LA. Whilst the whole Lake Tahoe area is stunningly beautiful, the Heavenly Resort was quite disappointing. The pluses are that the pistes are perfectly groomed and the views are wonderful. The negatives are that the skiing... more

We were at Heavenly over a holiday and it was ridiculously busy there. The staff at the gondola were very rude. The ski school was chaos trying to get a lesson set up, even though we booked one online prior to our arrival. We still used up a two hour timeframe just to get equipment, a lift ticket and a... more

This is a great mountain if you want to take your family or friends. Great views of Lake Tahoe but it is busier than most mountains in the area so I dont dare go on the weekends if I can help it. Midweek is usually pretty good. more

Great spot, very expensive though. If going for more than 5 days it works out cheaper to buy season pass. I reccommend buying a season pass earlier - they go up in price around January. Also it's possible to get a friend in cheap if you have the season pass buy buying them a buddy pass. more

If you want to pay more for a half-day lift ticket than you'd pay for two full-day lift tickets elsewhere... If you want to pay $6 for temporary access to an empty box (a locker for your stuff)... If you want to pay $455 for ski classes for a 5-year old... If you want to pay $35 for a photo... more

Heavenly has the most beautiful view I have ever seen, period. If you haven't been this place is a must. The Tree riding is the best i have ever experienced. I have been to Abasin, Breck, Keystone, Copper, Vail and several junkie East Coast mtns. This place as the best off the trail riding! But with every awesome thing comes... more

We have been season pass holders at Heavenly for almost 4 years. The conditions are the best in the basin. We love the atmosphere, and the views are unbelievable. The staff at Heavenly are great at what they do. The terrain is diverse enough for beginners to advanced. I do recommend to bring your own food on the mountain as... more
