The park itself is very nice, with a great beach and nice trails. The average rating is because of the site we got. We are from Oregon and, despite the great campgrounds in our state, have been coming to D.L. Bliss for five years. The campsites are, with few exceptions, beautiful. The upper campgrounds are roomier and nicer than the beach sites, and you are much less likely to be near a noisy group, who are few and far between to begin with.... more

This is a beautiful campground on Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed the beach and the sites were large and private. Do not go here until they fully replace the bear boxes with an updated design. Bears have been breaking into the boxes and stealing everyone's food. I know because they did it to me.
