We loved the trip to the kennel as mucha s the sledding itself. Frank Turner is a fascinating man with lots of stories and advice. The day's sledding was led by Mark and we had 2 seasoned Australians along for the risde too - Peter & Paul. It was a COLD day but the clothes Muktuk provided certainly helped fend... More

We visited for a full day dog sledding. Arrived in the morning and got fully kitted out with heavy winter clothes (incl. in price). The clothes were really appreciated once we got out into the open! Had a briefing on how to sled. Our guide, Megan, was very informative and friendly and was always ready to answer questions and did... More

I visited off-season, so all we were able to do that day was hang out with the dogs. Still that was more than I imagined! It was so much fun and the dogs were all so friendly! It took hours to get to all of them and we had a blast. Then after we were done, we were invited inside... More

My husband and our two teenage sons visited Whitehorse last week and stayed for two nights in the Shylo Chalet at Muktuk. Although we thought we should go out sledding for half a day, it was suggested that we go for a full day to really enjoy the experience. We are so glad we went with the advice as the... More

We were there for a full day dog sledding trip ($265/person), arriving there at around 9:40am, and then staff helped us with 1. sign the safety waivers form; 2. get dressed up with warm clothes and shoes, mitts, hats, neck warmers, basically they will provide whatever you need to get warm, it's all included in the price you paid; 3.... A great place to visit and play with the friendly sled dogs during their "down time". We went on a "puppy walk" with the younger dogs to the river, which was a blast! More

This place was absolutely unbelievable. My wife and I (with our two Labs) stayed in Shilo’s on our trip down the ALCAN. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night. We could have easily spent a week at Muktuk. This place is worth the trip by itself, by far the best night we spent on the two week trip.... More

For a first time visitor the drive along the snow covered ground is daunting however when you turn the corner and see the dogs you know you're in the right place. I was greeted by several dogs who have free run (these are the retired ones - yes they are kept until their time comes) and then met Diane and... More

Where do I begin......we arrived at MukTuk on a rainy morning in September and instantly fell in love with all the dogs and their individual vibrant personalities! After making the rounds and checking out the beautiful scenery, we finally met the infamous Frank Turner and were privy to a special MukTuk Welcome! (You will have to go to learn what... More

First, I should preface my review by saying that Frank and all of the staff at Muktuk seem to treat their dogs in a manner nothing short of outstanding. Especially given what recently happened to some sled dogs in Whistler, this couldn't be more important. Now with that being said, our visit to Muktuk for the tour "A taste of... More
