These folks are amazing. They love their dogs and it shows. The dog sledding is the most fun we have had on a trip ever. Sledding on the Takhini river was gorgeous, and was exhilarating. The guide we had was nice and great at his job. He knew all the dogs by name and treated them like family. After the... More

The staff were great and it was an eye opener to see how much the dogs love what they do. The staff obviously care a great deal for the dogs and they made sure it was safety first for the dogs and the clients! The option to borrow warmer clothing for the ride was appreciated as were the fresh coffee... More

Great staff and friendly dogs. Driving the sled was a ton of fun. Being pulled down the Takhini River was an amazing experience. The only thing I didn't like was the gas smell from the snow mobile the guide was driving.

We had such a glorious afternoon at Muktuk today sledding on the Takhini River just outside Whitehorse. The dogs are wonderful: willing, friendly, beautiful. And the staff are so cheerful and helpful we felt fine about knowing nothing about dog sledding. Initially the cost seemed daunting at $199.00CDN per person for 3 hours but when you see how many dogs... More

There was no snow, but we still went with the dogs through the wilderness. We had a powered vehicle when the dogs needed it, but they pulled most of the time and obviously enjoyed the exercise - it was great. We got to steer the team as well.

We did the morning dog sled tour and loved it. The rental of warm clothes is included and was appreciated as it was -24! The dogs are all friendly and get really excited when they see the sleds getting set up. The air was filled with happy barks and every dog that was getting hitched to our sled was wagging... More

Eight people had to hang around downtown Whitehorse for 45 minutes with no info from Muktuk about our pick up at 13:00. Wolfi made several calls,he & Renata also lost 45 minutes, & eventually two taxis arrived to take us to the MukTuk camp. THAT is a total of a whole day of lost time for 10 people. I was... More

We spent one week at Muktuk in early February, on a Rookie plus 1 tour (this means dog sledding everyday and one night camping out). My husband and I (aged late 40's, average fitness) had one of the most memorable weeks of our lives. For anyone who wants to understand what it is like to live in an extreme environment... More

This wonderful place made my journey to Canada and the Yukon the most amazing experience! I spent almost a week with the lovely people and dogs at Muktuk doing their "Rookie Ranch" stay. I was travelling solo and stayed at their main lodge. The room and food was fantastic, and their "Taste of the Yukon" specialty dinner was equally wonderful.... More

Great, exhilarating adventure along the river. They provide warm clothes so you won't get cold. The dogs are super docile and friendly. We all loved it
