Small but impressive

There is a wide variety of animals and birds. There were a lot of geese around and they were as entertaining as the animals. Saw one chase two goats around a rock mound. :)

My husband and I took our kids (ages 4 and 6) here a couple of weeks ago and loved it, as usual. As it was the end of the "winter" season, there didn't seem to be a lot of staff, but we've been there before. In the summertime, sometimes they'll have staff walking around with a snake for kids to... More

I love the Saskatoon Zoo and I always have. My dad used to take my sister and I there as kids every summer. The staff are really friendly and the park is as clean as you can keep it, haha. Last summer my boyfriend and I went together and had a blast. They have a really cute Red Panda now,... More

Who knew so many animals would be out enjoying the winter weather in Saskatoon. The parking was free, admission was by donation and the walk through the park was thoroughly enjoyed by the girls. We warmed up in the Affinity Learning Centre and also in the building housing the geese and swans. The red panda and the lynx were voted... More

What's really unique about this is the local wildlife. A giraffe looks like a giraffe no matter where you go but when you're a visitor, it's exciting to see the wildlife local to the region. When you're a SK resident, it's neat to watch the excitement of visitors from afar when they tour our "zoo". Plus the grounds are so... More

Great place to go for a walk with the grandchildren and watch the animals. A lot of the animals are in spacious natural surroundings. The park is a great place for a picnic.

The grizzly bears looked so sad and bedraggled. My son is a wildlife photographer and has been a few times . The rest of the zoo was fine. I think I was expecting a bit more.

The Zoo is often called the Forestry Farm so sometimes confuses people. We'd often take our children through in the summer, parking is free but there is an admission charge. It's great to walk around and explore and there's lots of animals to see. But we recently took some out of town guests to the Forestry Farm in the winter... More

This zoo seemed primarily focused at putting the spotlight on Canadian animals. And they did very well at this. I have been to some zoo's recently that were a lot bigger, with more exotic animals that were not kept up near as well as Saskatoon's zoo. The enclosure's were big generally, making it fairly easy to get a good look... More
