The Mendel as it's called in Saskatoon was one of the few buildings constructed right on the river bank and has been a jewel for over fifty years. There are no entrance fees but donations are accepted. There's plenty of free parking and a lovely cafe has been added with some of the best views in Saskatoon. The Mendel is... More

My friend and I went for a walk along the Meewasin Trail and ended up here. We had a good time checking out the gift shop which has an awesome mix of local art stuff, handmade pottery, cards of all types, great arty stuff for kids, jewelry, puzzles, scarves, etc. There are also a variety of price points for said... I love visiting the gallery no matter the exhibit. You can take your time and the art is very well presented. Small venue but well worth the trip.

I was impressed by the late operating hours and free admission to the Mendel. The conservatory features a variety of exotic flora, viewable from a square walking path. However, the permanent artwork... More

We have been here several times over the years. We have enjoy the atrium very much the flowers and all the plants are relaxing and peaceful. We will miss this when it closes and becomes the children's museum as I understand. I sure hope the atrium will stay open to the public when it closes.

I walked to the gallery one evening along the trail by the river. I enjoyed browsing in the gift shop and purchased some local products for my family. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, inviting me to the open house of local art that evening. I was pressed for time so I walked through the gallery and was impressed... More

Nice small gallery with changing exhibitions throughout the year. Worth a visit. Nice tropical greenhouse attached. Best espresso and cappuccinos in Saskatoon.

Museum is an easy walk along the river from the Park Town Hotel. An interesting exhibition and very well stocked gift shop with unusual items.

The exhibitions are always lovely. This visit didn't disappoint. I just love the quite stroll through the gallery. I also love the information they provide so that you get the most out of the art. We enjoyed a walk through the garden. Lovely!!!
