Stroll or bike along the River

If it's a nice day , get on your walking shoes and walk the River bank and bridges. Find the Farmers market for a noon day break and lunch, well worth the effort.

The Meewasin Valley system give people the opportunity to enjoy the heart of our city - the great South Saskatchewan River. The trail system is an absolutely excellent way to get exercise, be in nature, enjoy great views, people watch, find a bench and read a book, watch the river flow by, and so much more. Many of my best... More

My husband and I biked from the Mendel Art Gallery to Wanuskewin and had a great view of Saskatoon and the river. The paths are fantastic. Some vertical challenges that might be tough for little kids but 10+ would have fun and be challenged. That took about an hour at a leisurely pace. Wanuskewin is a fantastic spot for a... More

Its a great time with family or friends. There are miles of bike and walking paths along the river. The views are breathtaking. Only problem you cant see it all in one walk.

Try this walk towards sunset. Can walk for about an hour, even saw a beaver swimming along the river. Very pleasant level walk and well worth seeing sunset colours reflect of the buildings of Saskatoon. Only 2 problems were the usual bugs and a few errant cyclists who seemed to believe it was a race track for them alone. So... More

This is a trip to look at pre-settled Saskatchewan how the First Nations people lived and survived by hunting , berry gathering and the medicinal plants. The steep slopes on the trails are not for the feint hearted but the views and the aura are spectacular. The information centre must be studied before going out on the trails so that... More

this a beautiful walk along the river, easily accessed from downtown hotels....many benches for those who need to rest...dogs are allowed....there are often public activities held there....the later the hour the rougher the characters you will meet on your walk....

You can't come to Saskatoon without going for a walk in the Meewasin Valley. Many km of pathways for walking or cycling. Great views :)
