This is a trip to look at pre-settled Saskatchewan how the First Nations people lived and survived by hunting , berry gathering and the medicinal plants. The steep slopes on the trails are not for the feint hearted but the views and the aura are spectacular. The information centre must be studied before going out on the trails so that... More

this a beautiful walk along the river, easily accessed from downtown hotels....many benches for those who need to rest...dogs are allowed....there are often public activities held there....the later the hour the rougher the characters you will meet on your walk....

You can't come to Saskatoon without going for a walk in the Meewasin Valley. Many km of pathways for walking or cycling. Great views :)

The parks and trails protected by the MVA provide great walking, hiking and biking optional. Near the city centre the park is well used for festivals, concerts and family outings. Boat launches low for use of the river by boaters, sleds, canoes and the like. Great development with museums, art and entertainment on the north side of the river. An... More

There are a lot of river valleys that run through cities. Some are all natural and beautiful, others are natural and forgotten about, and others are natural and enhanced. The Meewasin Valley in Saskatoon has some beautiful natural areas, and some areas are enhanced. The pathways are great, some great areas for activities, and other areas have been beautifully enhanced.... More

Winter or summer, I always walk on the Meewasin Trail when I visit Saskatoon. The range of what is there is great. Walk along the river and have all that country type experience, but in places you are still just steps from other Saskatoon attractions.

Miles of paved trails and other trails as well. The Saskatoon river bank is lined with paved trails from the southern end of the city to the northern end. Trails are great for biking, running, inline skating, or just strolling.

Taking a walk by the river was one of the highlights of Saskatoon. There's paths, benches, plants, art, etc. along the beautiful scenery of the river, and it's all very clean and well maintained. Perfect for a romantic walk. Part of this walk is close to downtown, parks, the farmer's market and other cool stuff and events.

Did you know that the "Before I Die" wall under the Sid Buckwold Bridge is part of a global art project that began in New Orleans in 2011 as a singular experiment to help the creator restore perspective and share intimately with her neighbours? Since then, over 500... More
