The MacKenzie is the premier art gallery in Saskatchewan. No matter when you go there is something for all tastes of art. They also have an excellent gift shop that features commercially made gifts as well hand crafted pieces from local artists.

Wonderful exhibits of Saskatchewan artists and others. A lovely shop for locally created items but sadly to many NOT made locally items.

The Gallery is big and exhibits are nice. My friends and I were so impressed on the variety, beauty and unique artworks and crafts they have in the gift shop!

This is an amazing venue- located in beautiful TC Douglas Building. It has an amazing permanent collection and regular special exhibits. Today I was able to view the David Thauberger “Road trips and other Diversions” exhibition and I’d highly recommend viewing it. It has been extended till Aug 30th, 2015. There is also a fabulous gallery store too.

Not open on weekday evenings. Particularly in the summer, visitors should be able to attend in the evening.

The time we visited they featured two artists - David Thauberger and Levine Flexhaug. Mr. Thauberger had an interesting and simplistic painting style that was interesting but not compelling. Mr. Flexhaug was a mystery. He paints as if they were paint by number, and entire walls were filled with the same scene of a moose in front of a mountain.... More

We watch for art exhibitions that most appeal to us. Wilf Perreault Joe Fafard, and a trip through the gallery vaults were our favorites but there were many other enjoyable temporary exhibits which include pottery, ceramics and other types of artwork.

The exhibitions are always thought-provoking. I love spending an afternoon wandering around the gallery. The exhibition openings are always an education and very welcoming for people of all walks of life. The Gallery also has a program for school children and a workshop where children can experiment with their own creative talents. The Gallery Shop is a treasure! It is... More

I was at this gallery for an arts symposium - what a great meeting space with its light-infused meeting areas and the theatre. I took advantage of this to visit the Moving Forward, Never Forgetting exhibit and found it to be an exceptional experience. Much more than a static exhibit, there is always a story keeper ready to engage with... More
