Fabulous little art gallery. Of course with art galleries the exhibits change frequently and the current Mary Pratt exhibit was unbelievably good. The gallery is donation only and the $5.00 donation suggested by the gallery makes it the best deal in town. i would budget between 90 to 120 minutes. One could simply look at the art or take advantage... More

There are two exhibits currently showing: Mary Pratt (which ends on August 24) and Beat Nation. Both were beautifully curated and thought provoking. If you enjoy art, it is not to be missed. A quiet gallery, so you are free to slowly explore & free. Highly recommended.

This five-star review is for the Mary Pratt Exhibition that runs from May through August 2014 at the MacKenzie Art Gallery in Regina. This is a beautifully curated show of a major living Canadian artist, and remarkably, entry to it is free. The MacKenzie itself is an excellent gallery, spacious, well-lit, and comfortable. But I have say that this major... More

This small gallery is very easy to get around, but you will appreciate what it has to offer. The gift shop is also worth checking out. Admission is free.

It is a very nice gallery. We went to see it during Bazaart which an outdoor arts and crafts show and sale with food vendors held every June outside the gallery. Bazarrt is $5 but the gallery is by donation. We wanted also to see the Mary Pratt exhibit which is at the gallery until August 24. There was alot... More

MacKenzie Art Gallery (MAG) has several “living room” like settings, to sit and enjoy in this world-class museum expressions by artists. MAG has featured a variety of art mediums for 60 years, including those by celebrated artists such as Edvard Munch (of “The Scream” fame). One display is Munch's more traditional painting on canvas, “Zwei Menschen” (German for Two People)... More

I visited in April of 2013 when Regina was playing host to the Juno Awards. Their idea of having artists choose artwork that spoke to them, and then video record the musician talking about the work was brilliant. I visit the Gallery almost every time I come to Regina, because they always have a fascinating story to tell and have... More

This gallery is small and personal. It has wonderful show space and the two shows that we saw were well done. The aboriginal show was the largest grouping of aboriginal art I have seen in one place. It was very beautiful, moving and informative. We managed to go through it in a little over an hour.

By public gallery standards this is a small space - but it is highly suited to travelling shows as well as those made on site. The current show "7" is well worth seeing and features the work of a group of First Nations Artists who were brought together in the 70's, with a mix of motives - a more useful... More

This gallery is very nice and accessible. You can walk through it in an hour or so and see some nice art. The gift store is also very good.
