The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre contains an excellent collection of artifacts depicting the changes in the RCMP over their history. The highlights for me were the clothing, policing tools and modes of transportation used over the years. Main Exhibits: - Creating a Mounted Police: The need for a police force - Maintaining Law and Order in the West:... More

If you ever visit Regina this venue should be the top of your list of sites to see. This venue is suitable for all ages so bring your children. The tour through the actual museum. contains hundreds of artifacts originating from the settlement of Western Canada. The west was settled in Canada without firing a shot - quite a feat!... More

Admission is expensive. I used to love visiting the previous museum in its old locale near the chapel, which didn't charge an admission fee.. There are far fewer artifacts to see in the new Heritage Centre, plus I have seen the current movie several times, when taking different people to visit. I used to love seeing the old movies in... Thank you for taking the time to share your visit to the RCMP Heritage Centre. The old Centennial Museum which opened in 1973; was a wonderful place and is remembered most fondly. Unfortunately it had outgrown its capacity, both for exhibit display, storage and handling large groups of people. Whilst it did have more objects on display, all were static... More

It's easy to forget that the RCMP has been around, well, forever, and has some really interesting history. The Heritage Centre does a great job of presenting this history including stories and artifacts. Well worth a visit for an hour or two. Current or ex Military/RCMP are free!

I came in to the museum knowing absolutely nothing about the RCMP and left feeling quite knowledgeable. The museum staff was attentive and helpful. Be sure to check out the tour of the training facilities and watch the Courage in Red film!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your visit to the RCMP Heritage Centre. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to take a tour of the Depot grounds and see the movie Courage in Red. The movie really shows what the Cadets go through to become a member of the RCMP. These is no shortage of places to eat in Regina. This place is OK if your real hungry and only want a snack. There are a couple place a block or so west on the other side of the street that would be much better for a meal. Or go go north to Normanview Crossing for even better fair.
