As suggested by a friend, I had an opportunity to visit this museum. Also on the same premises houses the RCMP training academy. There are officers in the traditional red coat as well as the uniform you see out there today. The size of the academy is huge! It also features an abundance of history from when today's force was... They have a little bus tour that takes you through depot so you get to see the base.definitely a must see if your in Regina.

The building itself is likely the highlight of this centre. When we were there last, two years ago, there just wasn't that much to see.

Firstly, we read the prior reviews and just shake our head at the negative reports, especially the comment regarding being expensive. Our first stop was the cashier and I requested and adult and senior, expecting to pay $18, if that's expensive don't venture out to the West Coast. The young lady asked if we had any service, to which I... More

If you are in Regina you should tour the RCMP Heritage Centre. They have great displays detailing the history of the RCMP in Canada. Very educational for all ages. We took the guided driving tour of the campus, visited the chapel and saw the Sergeant Major's parade. We also saw the film that shows the weeks of grueling training that... More

For a police force with such a rich history, there isn't the collection here that there could be. The old museum seemed to have more to offer. The building is huge, really high ceilings, which means there is a lot of air to heat/cool. i guess thats why the admission fee is high.

We enjoyed visiting the RCMP Heritage Center. My perception of the RCMP consisted of the Dudley Do-Right cartoon (part of Rocky and Bullwinkle--remember that?) and some of the Jack London stories about the Klondike Gold Rush. After touring the center, I have a much better understanding of the RCMP and its history. We arrived in time to take the "people... More

Spent a whole afternoon here with plenty to see and do. There is a motorised tour of the 'Depot' which is well worth going on. The best bit I thought was the small church with beautiful stained glass windows. The exhibition halls were well laid out and helped you though the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. There is... More
