Firstly, we read the prior reviews and just shake our head at the negative reports, especially the comment regarding being expensive. Our first stop was the cashier and I requested and adult and senior, expecting to pay $18, if that's expensive don't venture out to the West Coast. The young lady asked if we had any service, to which I... More

If you are in Regina you should tour the RCMP Heritage Centre. They have great displays detailing the history of the RCMP in Canada. Very educational for all ages. We took the guided driving tour of the campus, visited the chapel and saw the Sergeant Major's parade. We also saw the film that shows the weeks of grueling training that... More

For a police force with such a rich history, there isn't the collection here that there could be. The old museum seemed to have more to offer. The building is huge, really high ceilings, which means there is a lot of air to heat/cool. i guess thats why the admission fee is high.

We enjoyed visiting the RCMP Heritage Center. My perception of the RCMP consisted of the Dudley Do-Right cartoon (part of Rocky and Bullwinkle--remember that?) and some of the Jack London stories about the Klondike Gold Rush. After touring the center, I have a much better understanding of the RCMP and its history. We arrived in time to take the "people... More

Spent a whole afternoon here with plenty to see and do. There is a motorised tour of the 'Depot' which is well worth going on. The best bit I thought was the small church with beautiful stained glass windows. The exhibition halls were well laid out and helped you though the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. There is... More

Made our first visit to the RCMP heritage centre with anticipation shortly after the RCMP tragedy in Moncton, NB. Having been immersed in the history & culture of the Force from an early age, I was very excited to see the Centre. I was surprised at the lack in artifacts, especially to highlight the progression of technology. I admittedly prefer... More

As someone who has been immersed in the history and culture of the Force from an early age it is understandable that the Centre would not match your repertoire of memories, experiences categories and themes that could be reflected. You will be pleased to know that having additional exhibits on display is part of our long term plan, including interactive... More

This is a must for tourists visiting in Regina and for local citizens .... the Centre is much like a museum with sections of the RCMP development over the years starting when they were known as The Northwest Mounted Police ... the centre has six display areas , each depicting a specific time frame with focus on significant events that... Great historical overview of this world famous organization. There is a lot of information about the founding and the early years of the RCMP. There was also a good movie about Mountie recruits. There are a lot of things for kids to do, a lot of vehicles, and of course a lot of pictures and stories. The museum is located... More

Excellent exhibits which share the story of the RCMP. The early years are very well covered, the contemporary force, after about 1970, did not have a lot of material. Overall well worth a visit, plan for 2 hours.
