Wonderful facility where you can learn all about the history of this great group of men and women. You also learn about the making of this great country as well.

The Heritage Centre has 6 galleries showing the history of the RCMP from its founding, through the March West, to its Northern role and now its international scope. The galleries and the films in the main theatre are a great reminder as to how big a country this is and how many different challenges a Mountie has to be ready... More

Our family enjoyed looking around this museum, where we spent around an hour. Admission is free. The largest single item is a carriage used by Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, although there are a number of smaller items in display cases. The displays cover the history of the mounted police and the scope of their work in fighting crime,... More

Thank you for your review. After reading your review I believe that you have mistakenly written a review for the Musical Ride Centre in Ottawa. The RCMP Heritage Centre does not have as part of our collection the Carriage used by Queen Elizabth II nor do we have any horses. Thank you More

You can spend lots of time walking through their displays, take a motorized tram tour around the complex and watch a video all for $10 per adult. Nice gift shop and most staff is very helpful.

As suggested by a friend, I had an opportunity to visit this museum. Also on the same premises houses the RCMP training academy. There are officers in the traditional red coat as well as the uniform you see out there today. The size of the academy is huge! It also features an abundance of history from when today's force was... The building itself is likely the highlight of this centre. When we were there last, two years ago, there just wasn't that much to see.

Dear Disappointed, I too have felt disappointment because I tend to compare the Heritage Centre with the wonderful old Museum on the Parade Square that opened in 1973. Then I hear responses from people who just love the place. I am sort of in between and tend to focus on how great this place can be as we move forward.... More

Firstly, we read the prior reviews and just shake our head at the negative reports, especially the comment regarding being expensive. Our first stop was the cashier and I requested and adult and senior, expecting to pay $18, if that's expensive don't venture out to the West Coast. The young lady asked if we had any service, to which I... More
