My hubby loves train journeys so we were on to a winner. But from the time we started the journey until the time we left we were waited on and looked after breakfast in the morning and fed on way home with numerous drinks including 4 baileys (obviously we were held down and force fed them) the staff couldn't do... Having spent a few month in Charlevoix in my youth, I love returning to the area in summer and winter. My wife and I were early patrons of the day trip from Quebec City to Baie St Paul just around the time that the new hotel 'Le Ferme' was opening. The gourmet day-trip by train is wonderful. You will experience... More

Bonjour, Thanks for taking the time to share this experience with us! We take your ideas in note; they are all very interesting for the development of our Train. Actually, when the Train is working, we have a shuttle that leaves from most hotels in Québec city and then goes to the Chute-Montmorency train station. Best regards. More

What a delightful way to learn about Quebec and North American history - all whilst dining 5 star! We felt as though we were on a family tour as the hosts and wait staff were so engaging, determined that we have a wonderful time. The train actually goes along the shore far away from any road which gives you a... More

It is so wonderful to hear you mention the excellence of the Train’s on-board service! Indeed, a rail cruise escapade is the only way to admire such remote riverside vistas. And rest assured your comments will be taken into consideration; we intend to make your next rail cruise even more enjoyable. Thank you ‒ we look forward to seeing you... More

Le Train du Massif du Charlevoix is an excellent day-trip outing! We booked a train ride from Montmorency Falls to the first train stop, Baie St-Paul, which is about a 2 and a half-hour ride. The booths seat 4 people, and the food is fantastic! Clean, very nice & acomodating service (the staff translated everything from English to French). The... More

Take a double decked train and make it one level with high ceilings. The catering is by the Fairmont Hotels, and it was very good. We enjoyed breakfast, a light snack and then a wonderful dinner by candle light on the return journey.

We did the full day trip on the train. Just going to Baie St. Paul and returning to Quebec after the break would be good also. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything is well organized. Meals were fabulous and beautifully presented. Drinks are extra. The train is very comfortable. Our taxi ride to and from Quebec added to the cost.... More

Don't take this train!!!! too expensive and also hidden costs. They promised that they would have a shuttle to our hotel, never told us that there was a charge for it and try to charge us $5.00 a person. Also, the tickets were quoted as costing $275.00 a person and it came to $645.00 for two people. They nickle and... More

The Day Tripper is a delightfully pricey train ride with great scenery, pleasant staff, good food. Getting to and from the station at Parc Montmorency by taxi certainly adds to the cost and there is no certainty that the taxi you had ordered will be there for others jump queue. It would be helpful if the company considered a shuttle... More

The food is delicious, the train very spacious and comfortable, the staff are friendly and obliging. Baie St Paul is a quaint little town to look around, wonderful Art Gallery, just off the Main Street.

We took the train to Baie Saint Paul, then on to La Malbaie, stayed the night at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and took the train back to Quebec City the next day. Had a lovely breakfast on the way up and a tapas snack on the way back. You can do the trip in one day up and back... More
