Go to the QC City Museum of Art to see the incredible pieces, all made by Inuit ("Eskimo") artists. The collection is too big to see all of it at the M of A, but you will get a good idea of its components.

Had the good fortune to have someone explain the meaning of some of the sculptures and place them in context for us. The art had an hypnotic effect. One could stay there for a long time just being with it.

The collection has been bought by a museum in Quebec and will be given a permanent home, although it is not operational yet. Sorry I don't have more... More

I can strongly recommend the Musee d'art Inuit Brousseau. I visited in January 2002 and enjoyed a temporary collection of art by Inuit women, including some sophisticated drawings and sculptures that provoked my imagination and deepened my curiosity and interest in Inuit art. The cost is $6 Canadian and is well worth it.
