Had the good fortune to have someone explain the meaning of some of the sculptures and place them in context for us. The art had an hypnotic effect. One could stay there for a long time just being with it. More

“The Louvres at the National Museum of Fine Arts”

I have been the the Louvres and I can tell you that they have not send their best pieces for this exposition. When your starting your visit, the museum will pass you a small book so you can read about every pieces of this exposition. Good lock after that because it is not easy to follow the numbers inside each... More

July 2005 - went to this museum which I had previously visited & loved. There is still a superlative Inuit gallery run by the Brousseau family, but the museum no longer exists. The collection has been bought by a museum in Quebec and will be given a permanent home, although it is not operational yet. Sorry I don't have more... More

I can strongly recommend the Musee d'art Inuit Brousseau. I visited in January 2002 and enjoyed a temporary collection of art by Inuit women, including some sophisticated drawings and sculptures that provoked my imagination and deepened my curiosity and interest in Inuit art. The cost is $6 Canadian and is well worth it. More
