We rented a car and drove to the beautiful Basilica, it did not disappoint us. Magnificent, take time to sit and soak up the spiritual beauty of this place. Visit the "Stations of the Cross" located across the street- a steep climg up hill but worth it!!!

Like the cathedrals of Europe this Basilica is huge, with many alters, statues and stained glass. It is a masterpiece of long ago. Worth the visit

About half an hour east of Quebec City is this huge, well-maintained cathedral with all the statues, stained glass, and candles to make you think you are in Europe. Crutches and other relics of miracles are at the back of the church, which in late summer is the site of a gathering of the Roma people. Fascinating history and well... More

the basilica is impressive. a little ways out of town, worth the detour if combined with some outdoor activities around mount St-Annes

Take a conducted tour trip to the Basilica along with the Montmorency Falls at $57/pax and you will never regret for the money spent. The basilica is great and the surroundings are imposing. Don't forget to visit the Jew Architecture in front of the Basilica.

If you enjoy seeing magnificent churches, you will enjoy Sainte Anne de Beaupre. Not very much to do nearby, and I found the museum a little boring for a person with moderate religious enthusiasm

This basilica is an architectural masterpiece on a grand scale. It is known as a religious place of healing where the sick and infirmed come to be cured. You can see crutches, canes, etc. hanging from the ceiling. The scale of the church is so immense it is difficult to put into words. You must see it if you visit... More

Sainte Anne de Beaupre is like being in a European cathedral. The architecture, stained glass windows and setting all combine to present an impressive site in the tiny village.

The beauty of the basilica is somewhat watered down by the kitschy town its located in. During our weekday visit there was ample parking, and few visitors - we were able to park immediately next to the basilica and explore at our leisure. Nearby observant Catholics can visit the twelve stations of the cross and enjoy life-size statues, or visit... More

Amazing that there's a basilica like this close to Quebec City. In great condition, and relatively new -- I can't imagine that a structure like this would ever be built again by any church. Suggest getting the audio tour.
