the ferry is a nice way to cross the river but take it as a return trip on foot and take gorgeous pictures of Old Québec and the Château Frontenac, morning light is best

We enjoyed the schedule and the voyage. There was nothing to not like. You can take excellent pictures from the deck both up and down near the front.

we were really looking forward to the ferry ride in winter but due to the canoe races being that day there were no ferries for hours-make sure you dont go on the canoe race day if you are going for the carnival

This is my second visit to Quebec City, but first trip on the ferry. Although it was pretty cold to stand out on the deck the whole time, there was a nice seating area with lots of windows so you could remain inside if you like. My son loved staying outside to watch the ferry break through all the floating... More

We took the round trip in about an hour. It was cool to see Quebec City from the water and to say we had done it. It was also very cool to see how these ferries break through the ice. I'm very glad we didn't have to wait long on the return leg to Quebec City. There didn't appear to... More

Well worth the $11!! Great view of the city as you approach on the ferry. It was a very cold day could feel the ferry breaking through the ice as we crossed the river.

I come from Liverpool so I fully understand the attraction of ferries. The thing here which made it special was pushing through the ice as you headed across the river. We could see the ferries leaving their tracks into the ice from our room in the chateau Frontenac. It was very cold outside in the wind but the views back... More

We had a great little "breakfast cruise" with a packed breakfast that we brough on-board. You get a great view of the city, and it's very cool to see the ferry break through the ice on its way across the river. Round trip is about 1-hour. Vending machines on the ferry for coffee and snacks.

For a small fee of $6 you can take the ferry across to Levis. A ride on the St. Lawrence and the opportunity to take photos of Quebec from the water was amazing! We were lucky enough to choose a time that we left Quebec in day light and came back to see the night lights! Best of both worlds.... More

We took the ferry both ways to enjoy the view and the frozen water and observed a team of rescue divers to push a boat over the river twice
