This is a must see museum. I have seen major museums throughout Europe and the Western U.S.. Musee de la Civilisation hits all five senses in an incredible way. An excellent museum that has a variety of very interesting exhibits presented in an interactive format. Leave yourself enough time to push the buttons, watch the films and pull out the drawers for closer looks. Kind of like the physical representation of a National Geographic Magazine, this museum excellently covers a number of largely unrelated topics. I had high expectations from this museum. It wasn't a total waste of time, but I certainly would not make it a "must see" for Quebec City. Part I liked best dealt with Quebec history. The rest was only so-so. Sometimes they even skipped including english on markers for the exhibit. more

The Museum itself is fairly big. It doesn't cost all that much so its worth the visit. There's lots of artifacts from the time of New-France.
