My wife and I went in here right at opening time and were lucky to get a private guided tour in english of the "gold" exhibit. Each section of the museum has bilingual tour guides who will lead groups at scheduled times to get more details on the displays. An excellent find just south of the wharf. The Gold in the America's exhibit is quite thorough and thoughtful. This is a must see museum. I have seen major museums throughout Europe and the Western U.S.. Musee de la Civilisation hits all five senses in an incredible way. Kind of like the physical representation of a National Geographic Magazine, this museum excellently covers a number of largely unrelated topics.
