Owner description: Right in the heart of historic Quebec City, this magnificent theatre has hosted nearly a century's worth of the greatest in arts and entertainment. Once used mostly for cultural events, it has evolved into much more than a concert hall. Since its reopening in 1992, this prestigious and storied hall amazes both its renowned performers and their audience. Le Capitole de Quebec is a unique and magical place. Majestic stairway, gilded trim, luxurious railings, it is filled with memories of a bygone era.

Saw the Johnny Cash show. It was terrific. Over two hours. The theater itself was a little crowded. Take a cushion to sit on. After 45 minutes the chairs started to feel very hard and uncomfortable.

If you get to quebec before the end of august, and are either an Elvis fan or Johnny Cash fan, check out the capitol theater. The man in black show is excellent, sung by American Shawn Barker. Great show!!

A great theater right at the entrance of Old Quebec city. Exactly like the old ballroom.

We went to see "les Misérables" in September 2008. The theatre, the sound and the show were great... but the seats are tiny, uncomfortable and there is no leg room. My husband and i are rather tall and thin and it was hard to enjoy the show because we spent the whole time shifting positions and bumping into our neighbours...... More
