We visited here at a fortunate time as they had the Holy Door open until the end of December. There are only six in the world, so this was an opportunity that we could not pass up. Now closed until a date far in the future, we count our blessings that we were here when it was open.

This is definitely worth a visit, the basilique is gorgeous! Also heated in winter (unlike European Cathedrals) which means you can spend a lot more time checking it out in winter!

This church is stunningly beautiful. It is free to go in and the artwork and the interior is magnificent. Take a moment after you go in and sit and let the beauty of the surrounding sink in.

Was there for the close of the 350 year anniversary of Notre Dame - beautiful decorations, music and lights. Very, very crowded inside, long wait to enter, but once in, sat and absorbed the ambience and history

The holy door was open when we were there so we were able to do the pilgrims walk through the cathedral. It was very special, there was also a video to watch explaining the making of the door and its significance as the first door outside of Europe. Even if you aren't Catholic you can appreciate the beauty of this... More

We had visited the Cathedral, but returned for a New Year's Day mass. Though spoken mostly in french, we came away moved by the experience and felt warmly welcomed by the Priest and other participants.

Not sure if I missed something but we didn't have to pay. We did contribute on our own and my wife donated to light a candle as well. Church is beautiful. The whole area is magical. We only stayed for 20 minutes.

I was attracted to this church because of the opening of Holy Door in 2014. A very welcoming atmosphere... atb the beginning of mass, the priest spoke English to welcome non French speaking attendees , though the mass itself was conducted in French. The Garden of Holy Door has many stations to address the virtues we should aim to have,... More

We walked in a beautiful snowfall to this lovely cathedral and stepped inside to see the most beautiful church ever! It was a nice service and we were glad we happened upon it.
