On returning from Quebec to Montreal, bus diver refused to drop us off at Berri Metro Station, but insisted he HAD to take us back to the Old Port. Those of us who didn't have a car had to walk through the streets at midnight to the nearest Metro station hoping to find it still open. Management not concerned to... More

We took a 3 hour zodiac trip today and had a wonderful time. First the positives - we saw many many whales - 4 different species, 4-5 tail fin moments and a humpback rolling over very close to the boat! The boat and the clothing were of a good standard - a little worn but not worn out at all.... More

We took the cruise at the Rivere du loup which was a 3 hour cruise. Despite the weather, we had more than 2 dozen whale watching. We saw Minke, Humpback, and Beluga for sure. Some claimed to see Killer Whale but I could not confirm. It was quite foggy and rainy but we still had good sighting. The sighting of... More

I have been whale watching in New Zealand, Australia, British Columbia and Turks & Caicos over the years but this was the most rewarding 3 hours anywhere. My wife and I went on the zodiac tour on the August long weekend and saw over 2 dozen whales from 4 species - fins, minkes, humpbacks and belugas - during the trip.... More

Unfortunately we were not lucky with the weather. It rained the entire trip ( 6 hours) . from Baie SteCatherine to Cap Trinity . we didnt see much of anything but I need to point out that AML cruises do offer french/english narration and that our guide was extremely knowledgeable. I can tell you it would of been a very... More

We purchased two tickets for the whale watching cruise departing from Montreal (via bus until you got to Taddoussac where we boarded the boat). AML's website did not state that portions of the cruise experience would only be in French. Had we known this, we would have reconsidered purchasing tickets with AML given the amount of money each ticket was... More

The Croisieres AML web reservations site is terrible. The menus redirected me inappropriately when processing my credit card, resulting in a reservation for a cruise I had not selected, and for which the staff on the phone then told me (3 minutes later) I could not change and for which there was no refund possible because it was 'my fault'.... We did the Evening cruise with supper from Quebec Chouinard wharf. Great evening on a nice sized ship. The meal was very good and the service was excellent. We purchased the Red Carpet choice which we found a bit pricy. It was the most expensive choice they had but with some perks; we were first to board (thus walking the... More

The view of the St. Lawrence River from just about any spot in Quebec is spectacular. But to see the city from the river is what makes a trip to a port city interesting! Naturally,if you are only in Quebec for a few hours, you may want to spend all your time on land but if you have the luxury... More

While we did not see many whales, the boat ride is nice. We took one of the bigger boats (3:45 PM tour) and it had a small food place. The sandwiches were quite nice. Prices are higher - nothing surprising there. We had to reschedule the trip due to the distance between city and St-Catherine and they were helpful in... More
