We had an aromatherapy couples massage on a recent weekend trip. I believe the therapist's names were Diana and Nicole. The massage itself was 5 stars. I was hoping the spa facilities would be a little bigger but it was still a very nice experience. You couldn't spend a long time there without a treatment to fill the time. But... More

I received a gift certificate for a massage and chose to use it at Rainspa. After reading the reviews I decided this was the place for me as I wanted to go somewhere that had a more quiet atmosphere and was a bit more laid back than some of the bigger spas. I wasn't disappointed with my decision. The service... More

One of the best Thai yoga experiences I have ever had! Sunita was incredibly nice and knowledgeable from start to finish, she really listened to my body and was able stretch out and alleviate the pain i'd been having in my legs and lower back. I feel three inches taller and so relaxed and excited for the day. Sunita was... More

I decided to take a little birthday spa day.. some others recommended by the concierge were larger but booked up. Luckily they could get me in although early in the am. it is not your hotsy totsy spa.. it is in an older hotel where they have coverted some of the rooms so I did get a bit lost and... More

On our trips we always have a couples massage, many we do not write about about the massage my wife and I had the Rainspa is very worth writing to share our experience. We had hot stone massage for couples. The facilities were average but the massages were incredible. We have never started the massage with exfoliate our legs, this... More

The Spa was OK. The reception and masseuses were all lovely. My average rating comes more from the facilities themselves. It is a spa that was designed to fit into a space, rather than a space designed to fit an ideal spa. For instance, the toilets are on the entrance floor, not in the locker room. The men's changing room... More

If you're looking for a romantic place to take your significant other, I would recommend RainSpa. Their staff is very nice, the area is accommodating, it is also located in a beautiful hotel, and has a Hammam. Prices are somewhat reasonable but get ready to spend some cash. A couples Swedish massage, express manicure and pedicure for one, and included... More

From the very first contact we made to this Spa until the goodbye after the treatments - it was an absolute highlight. Laetitia was a super friendly help for booking all the different treatements and figure out what would be the best to do at our stay. We really felt in good hands already. The mani-pedi-duo we had with Célia... More

I flew in the morning and had a few hours in Old Montreal before meeting up with friends so Rainspa was the perfect place to relax. I was placed in the caring hands of Nicole and had a rejuvenating scrub and massage that set all wrongs to rights. I was refreshed and recharged and upon settling my account asked the... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
