if you're in Montreal in December you must go see the Nutcracker (Casse-Noisette). Although I wouldn't suggest bringing children under the age of 8 just because the show is 2 hours long and if they get restless they are ruining it for other patrons (like the family with the 3 year old sitting behind us)... We enjoyed the skilled performance immensely. However, my very favourite of their ballets... More

Ballet is amazing for those who love it: ballet and music are fine arts and allow to thing about other things while appreciating wt is in front of you.

Les Grands Ballets are the company to see if you want to see ballet at its absolute best. I have seen all the premier companies of the world perform, and I would rank them in the top 5. The complete attention to the artistic whole of the productions is superb. Even if you have been to the Nutcracker over 100x... More

Definitely a world-class organization. If you enjoy ballet, you will not be disappointed. Montrealers are spoiled by the variety of good cultural entertainment to be had in their city.

It has been a long time but fond memories of The Nutcracker Suite at Place des Arts hold a special place in my heart at Christmas. A must see for anyone and at anytime.

Dancers are amazing and so are Gradimir's productions. The annual winter production of the Nutcracker is a must for children, then there the international artistic directors brought in that introduce the greater public to contemporary dance.
