Great wine and guides!

I went recently with my boyfriend and really enjoyed seeing the two wineries and tasting the wine. Very lovely and kind staff! Great in rain or shine!

I went on the half-day tour with three other ladies. We had a lovely day. It was fun to get out of the city and learn about the Quebec wine industry. The two vineyards we visited were quite different from one another, so the contrast was fun. The tours were very thorough, I would have preferred more time for tasting... More

My husband an I took the full day excursion and we had a great day. Very enjoyable, the 3 x wineries visited were very welcoming with a great selection. We really enjoyed the cuser place. The only downside is the coach has insufficient sir com and so the 1.5hous back to downtown montreal was a sweat box! Not so nice... More

What a great way to spend a day during a visit to Montreal! Our guide, Michel, could not have been nicer or more knowledgable. He made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. The trip was perfectly organized and filled with lots of lovely surprises. I will also say that I was not expecting much from the lunch provided, but it was... More

My friend and I went on the Ice Wine Tour with our guide, Michel. Even though we Anglophones were by far the minority on the tour, Michel gave the tour in both English and French, and at all the locations he gave us a very personal tour in English. In addition to wine, we also tried fresh pressed frozen grape... More

A wonderful Saturday, with our guide Michel, one of the most knowledgeable guides you will find anywhere and three wonderful vignobles. It truly was an excellent day out. From ice wine cocktails, to raclettes for lunch, a sparkling wine surprise, multiple tastings and to end the day our first taste of the unique fire cider from Union Libre, this was... More

I took this trip on Valentine's Day and was expecting a great time from the reviews here - it exceeded my expectations! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and a lot of fun. He spoke both French and English. Each of the wineries had unique activities planned - not only did I get to open a sparkling wine bottle with a... More

The Kava Ice Wine tour was very well run. The presentations at the wineries were handled with skill and humour. Domaine les Bromes was a good choice as the first winery and the tasting and lunch at Vignoble de L'Orpailleur was excellent. The latest Ice Wine at Union Libre had not yet been bottled, but we enjoyed tasting the ciders... More

Thanks a lot for your detailed review! I am really glad to know you enjoyed our winter experience. As for the one hour drive, I can suggest you our departure point in Bromont, which is 10 minutes away from the first winery. It makes a great weekend getaway if you pair it with a night or two at one of... More

We took a lovely wine tour with Michelle. We visited three wineries and learned a lot about wine. It was a little pricey for the tour, but it was nice to have someone to drive us around. I found that the wine tastings were smaller than most, but we did have a good time!

I've done 3 wine tours with Kava Tours. On Friday, I did the 1/2 day tour in the Monteregie. I discovered 2 wineries close to home and met people from San Francisco, New York City and Frankfurt, Germany! The winemakers were knowledgeable and welcoming! We had a great afternoon (the weather was cooperating with us!) and when we were ready... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighborhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
