If this place used to be a hip jazz bar it ain't any more. Total tourist trap. This is not where real music fans go to hear great music. Save your money! More

Hello, It would be useful to everyone if you clarified exactly what aspects of the bar you did not like. We have an exceptional friendly and efficient staff Our music rooster often include world class musicians such as Jose James, Lorraine Klassen, Slim Williams, Obed Calvaire etc Although we have only been in existence for less than two (2) years,... Heard great things about this piano bar in the Old City of Montreal. Thought this venue would have a been an ideal place to hear real jazz, but turned out to be quite the opposite. Very packed environment, $10 cover, weak drinks (as they all are in Montreal, but that's not why we were there) - but worst of all... More

This place was just down the block from our hotel. We went on the night they had a singer featuring motown. There was a cover, but it wasn't much. I think it was $5 each. The place was crowded but we managed to find a spot on the couch and squeezed in among other locals and tourists. The waitress was... More

Warm reception at the door from a very elegant gentleman. Great ambiance that is comfortable and elegant. The music was really soulful and musicians were clearly talented. An intimate space that caters to those in the know. More

This bar was great. My twenty-one year old son had us wait until the bar opened so he could ask to play the red piano that appears in the window. The staff was very obliging and allowed him to play a tune on the piano. What a great experience. And their ginger martini was to die for! More

This spot was pleasant when we arrived - a bit of piano music coupled with some not-too-expensive cocktails. Not too pushy, either, about ordering. But our lounge singer, who came on around 8pm, was totally drunk, and not doing very well. It was a performance to remember, but definitely didn't leave us with a very good impression of the place. I have just spent the the last month in Montreal, and the first place I went was Le Piano Rouge. It was a Friday night and the atmosphere was amazing. From the moment you walk through the door of Le Piano Rouge you feel welcome and exhilarated. This feeling does not wear out. The piano singer combo is like nothing... More

Stumbled upon the Red piano by accident in old Montreal after they first opened. Had a great time that visit, and make it a point to visit there when in town - it's a great little spot for post-dinner music, and the staff and owner make it a tremendous experience. Super friendly, great music and a great atmosphere - wish... More

You open the door, the sultry notes wash over you and you feel at home. An ecclectic mix of people, top shelf liquers, and delectable appetizers all contribute to a vibe that is at once electric yet soothing. More

This little gem adds something new and refreshing to the Montreal nightlife scene both by its live music formula and by its warm and welcoming staff. As the name of the bar suggests, the centerpiece of the decor is a big shiny red piano which is accentuated by beautiful stonework and large inset windows overlooking the cobblestone roads outside. According... More
