The bike tour exceeded my expectations and they were high. Pam was our tour guide. She made us feel safe throughout the entire tour and we learned so much about the history of Montreal and the architecture. I would recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Montreal. It is a great way to get a feel of the city and... More

Our family rented bicycles for a few hours while on our trip to Montreal. The rental process was seamless. The young men at the service counter were friendly and efficient, as well as bilingual. We were given some recommendations for our trip and a pretty detailed map of the bike routes. The bike path system in Montreal is quite extensive and... More

First day that we arrived in Montreal, my wife, our two 20-year-old sons and I did the four hour biking tour. Was truly an exceptional ride, even though the weather was questionable with showers off & on, it didn't dampen the day for us. Andreanne & Emanuel led our ride. She had lots of zest in her mannerisms and speaking,... More

We did this tour our second day in the city, and this was a great way to see a lot. The pace was good... moving without having to be a professional bike rider to enjoy it. The only thing that could have been improved was making the group a little smaller. We had to wait at different points because the... More

We checked out the three major tour cycling businesses in Montreal-and found best price and easiest access with Ca Roule. We booked a three hour private tour through Montreal. Wait time was reasonable, though there is only one person to check-in the guests; (should have 'express' line for those who've already reserved and paid, vs. those who need time to... More

I knew right away that our tour guide probably wasn't the best that they had to offer, and our group wasn't very outgoing as far as personality, but it was still a very nice experience. I'm a huge fan of bike tours, and the City bike tour of Montreal gives a good overview of the city. They were very professional... More

Rented our bikes after 2PM on a Sunday. The young man who set us up gave us excellent advice and directions on their provided map. Saw the biosphere, rode the F1 track and went down the canal to Marche' Atwater where we had a wonderful dinner at Foyer. The hybrid bikes were excellent mechanically and enjoyable to ride.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
