I think this park is rare, Its next to a beautiful lake, the views while riding on the rides are just breath taking. I think the rides are different and there are some that seem like carnival rides which I like especially at night . I really had fun . It is bigger then it seems so make sure you... More

This park was good, but as Southern Californians having our own "Six Flags" (which La Ronde is owned by) it is hard to give this a great review. Overall though, the park is clean and well maintained and my friend and I still had a blast! The park is small compared to the actual Six Flags, but still had good... More

It has been several years since I went to an amusement park and this did not disappoint. Arrived around noon and it was a zoo checking in...best to get there earlier. The only glitch was that we left through the wrong exit (it looks the same as the main entrance) and you need a stamp to re-enter. Staff did let... More

The rides are good, not overly so, but the lines are ridiculously long and slow-moving, more so for popular rides. To enjoy the rides we ended up purchasing their Flash Pass, the Gold (middle) one at $50 additional per person, which adds up to more than $100 per person just for the rides - too expensive. We also got envious,... More

Second trip to La Ronde for International Fireworks Competition. USA put on quite a show... Amazing what these competitors can do.

Our real reason for going here was the International Fireworks Festival which runs in July. You can watch for free from various spots in the city but in La Ronde there is proper seating. The fireworks and music were just extraordinary and lasted a solid 30 minutes. Truly breathtaking. Note however that it is very popular and it could take... More

We bought season passes last year, and then again this year. They usually go on sale in the fall for the following year for about $50/each, including parking. If you live in town, look out for these, since they are more or less the same price as a day pass. One person in the family will have to buy the... More

I saw lots of rides with spider webs...dust and dead insects...common! Is it really so hard to have cleaning people go around the park cleaning the rides and displays? I visited the park with my 6 year old.. He loved the rides...for his age, there is a good variety and that's all that counts...but if it had been a visit... More

I grew up in Virginia so I'm used to the amusement parks around there and the size that they are. I went with a group this past weekend and found it so small and boring. There's barely any rides, so each ride has a long line up, the gift shops are very boring as all I kept seeing was Marvel/DC/Pop... More

The selection of rides here are pretty much clones of other rides you can find at any other park with the only exception being Goliath , their B&M creation. Park is really void of any good clothing retail stores. I found most of the staff to be uninterested in their jobs with the exception of the Goliath staff. Wouldn't really... More

Staying in Parc Jean-Drapeau

Neighborhood Profile
Parc Jean-Drapeau
The islands of Saint-Helene and Notre-Dame together make up the anchored fabric of Parc Jean-Drapeau. The mostly man-made grounds were built to be the site of the 1967 World's Fair, and the chiefly car-free space still retains its inherited carnival character. A wonderland of foliage and flora awaits at the Jardins des Floralies, with its expanse of pond-marked wetlands making it perfect for hiking, nature walks, and exploration. Old exhibitions still straddle the newest entertainment complexes, including the high-flying roller coasters of La Ronde Amusement Park and the brightly-lit Casino de Montréal. From the springtime on, families crowd the sandy beaches with candy-striped umbrellas, and rowers take to the Olympic Basin, where the spherical American Pavilion and the high brick Tour de Lévis provide an atypical backdrop. A short metro trip carries visitors and locals to this vacationing spot, providing leisure and activity outside of the inner city.
