When in MOntreal, save a day to visit this park it is oldie but goodie still. I have been coming here since I can remember and my kids enjoy being here. I think this is the largest amusement park in Montreal and at least once in your life try the roller coaster. No guts, no glory as they say. It's... More

I have been going to La Ronde since i'm 10 yrs old. I am now 47 and still love it. My kids have bought season passes yr after yr. A great family outing and great place for teens to pass a fun filled day. The only downside is the food can be quite pricey!!

Came with 25 13 year olds and 5 chaperones. That's a big sale for them. The place is generally dirty and bathroom was gross. Food was mediocre at best. $12 for a burger and fries with a cup of tap water. They didn't have 3 of the things are their menu. This was at BBQ La Flamme. They have no... More

"Le Monstre" wooden rolller coaster is one of the most impressive of it's kind in the world. Althought this park is more likely to be regional, we do have to emphasize the fact is is on an island (particular environment). It is also the first Six Flags Park in Canada since 2001. Being owned by the city before 2000, the... More

Only fun thing to do at LaRonde is to watch the fireworks from the monyhs of June to end of July, other than that the park itself is very subpar in north America's amusement parks. I wouldn't cancel out a whole day's schedule on this park , you can cover this park within a few hours.

I have been going to La Ronde since I was 11 years old. I'm 49 now. This amusement park was fun then and even more so now. My daughters each get a seasons pass every year. The only thing I have to say that is a little on the down side is that it needs a face-lift to bring it... More

I have visited here both as a child and as an adult. It's always a good, fun day out with lots of attractions and the queues are never too horrific. Worth a visit

Some of it is a little dated but it's the only option around Montreal and there's some great history here. So if you're looking for that kind of fun and a good place to take the kids and blow some cash, this is it!

Used our season pass to visit La Ronde on multiple locations during this past summer. There are several excellent rides and you can tell that Six Flags continue to invest in their rides. However, the park is showing some serious wear and tear. The site needs a major facelift. The park is worth the visit on rides alone, but don't... More

Staying in Parc Jean-Drapeau

Neighborhood Profile
Parc Jean-Drapeau
The islands of Saint-Helene and Notre-Dame together make up the anchored fabric of Parc Jean-Drapeau. The mostly man-made grounds were built to be the site of the 1967 World's Fair, and the chiefly car-free space still retains its inherited carnival character. A wonderland of foliage and flora awaits at the Jardins des Floralies, with its expanse of pond-marked wetlands making it perfect for hiking, nature walks, and exploration. Old exhibitions still straddle the newest entertainment complexes, including the high-flying roller coasters of La Ronde Amusement Park and the brightly-lit Casino de Montréal. From the springtime on, families crowd the sandy beaches with candy-striped umbrellas, and rowers take to the Olympic Basin, where the spherical American Pavilion and the high brick Tour de Lévis provide an atypical backdrop. A short metro trip carries visitors and locals to this vacationing spot, providing leisure and activity outside of the inner city.
