This street does not have all the character that st paul does, but it is still a very elegant city street. It has more shopping and business on it, and of course shows great views of notre dame basilica.

Amazing street filled with lots of Old World Charm. Notre Dame Cathedral is the next best thing to the original in Paris. Forever impressive in its replication. Oh Montreal, I love you.

Rue Notre-Dame is booming with small cafés and great restaurant, especially in the West side. The street goes from the Old Port onto St-Henri and further. I would recommend a nice walk in St-Henri to discover what it has to offer. Enjoy!

Notre Dame Street is like being in Europe -, maybe even better. Notre Dame Cathedral is a must see - it's where Celine Dion got married, where the funeral services of Prime Minister Trudeau were held, and where millions of tourists pray each year. The other parts of this famous street contain the City Hall of Montreal, on the steps... More

Many old buildings well kept, lots of tourists, many activities for anyone, Old Montreal is great. We were 4 and we had the time to walk, it is near the Rover, there are many shops, restaunrants and it is like in Old Europe.

Notre-Dame Street tells the history of Montreal, from Old Montreal to St. Henri's neighborhood (fabulous restaurants). I don't think there is a boring section on this fascinating street.

If browsing through quaint and stuffy shops full of bric a brac and treasures from Granny's attic is your cup of tea, then this is the way to spend an afternoon. THere are many shops along rue Notre Dame were you can find other people's castoffs and many a fine antique.
