Our guide Marc had zero sense of humour and sounded like he was reading off a script the entire time (including scripted jokes). There were two of us on the tour, both Canadian, which he asked about at the beginning of the tour. He then promptly forgot that we were Canadian (I hope) because he asked questions like "Have you... We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide was friendly, interesting, and informative. This city doesn't have some of the big attractions of a larger city, true; but it is well worth your time to get introduced to the city so you can appreciate the history and architecture. More

I have been on many walking tours in many major cities and this one just sort of fell flat for me. Some are humorous and some are historical and some are just really, really interesting....this one wasn't really any of the above. The guide did her best but there wasn't much in the way of really, really interesting things in... More

Fortunately for us, we didn't make this reservation for the day that the remnants of Hurricane Irene were blowing through Montreal. The day of our tour, the weather was absolutely perfect. The tour started right on time and our guide (I cannot remember his name) was excellent. He told us that his family settled in Montreal in 1708 and clearly... More

This was the first thing I booked after choosing a hotel. Our guide was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. The tour starts with Notre Dame Basilica and ends just across from the old port and it was a jam packed 90+ minutes. We brought our 7 yr old daughter and there was quite a bit of walking but our guide was... More

Guides are professional and give you a nice overview of the history of Old Montreal - our tour included the Basilica and the chapel - good way to start out and then you can continue your exploration afterward. Well worth the price. More

Just to get your bearings, I would do this walking tour. Cheap only $20. Gives you the highlights and a little history. Your ticket gets you back into the Notre Dame Cathedral (normal $5 fee) anytime, any date. More
