It was kind of difficult communicating with who I assume was a student aide at the house next door. Tickets are ten dollars, but I feel we got our moneys worth in the tour. The tour guide did an excellent job of weaving in personable anecdotes from the past and real connections in with everything we were seeing. The tour... More

We arrived at 11:30AM to tour the museum but had to wait until noon at a connected site next door. We were able to use the free (donation suggested) genealogical service there for the half hour and were helped by an able and friendly staff member. We had a private tour of the house by a knowledgeable and personable college... More

There are 2 tours offered in this house, and we wanted the other one, but for some reason they couldn't do the other tour. We were sent away and came back almost an hour later as the tours only go on the hour. It was interesting to see some of the artifacts in the house, but really, I've been to... More

The home was very interesting. We had the greatest tour guide. He was very enthusiastic about the home and the history behind it.

We spotted this museum in the Rough Guide (Lonely Planet doesn't even give it a mention) and were glad we did. It is full of the original Victorian-through-to-1950s furniture and fittings of the original family (the Wyatts) - wealthy PEI residents - and the whole house has been well preserved. The enthusiastic young guide was happy to spend 45 mins... More

At first I wasn't sure what the oddity tour was about. I got a pamper from the visitor center at cavendish. The property consisted of three buildings. An archives where you can pay for your tour and has sir john a Macdonald watch on display, an art gallery/cultural center and he wyatt house. The wyatt house is where the historical... More

I visited the Wyatt house and was taken on a thorough and informative 45-minute tour. It was wonderful. The home/museum is beautiful and there are many interesting pieces inside that the antique-lovers out there will love. Our guide was also very informative and friendly. It is definitely worth a trip to Summerside to see this home.

A lovely old home kept the way it was when the last owner lived there. We were there early in the season and the guide opened specially for us and gave us a wonderful tour. I'm so glad she did.

Stumbled upon this gem while visiting the area with a guest during the shoulder season. It was one of very few attractions open at that time of year- and I am pleased it was! Stepping into the Wyatt House is stepping back in time. The items and craftsmanship within are beautiful! Our tour guide was friendly, and knowledgeable, and even... More
