We traveled PEI during the shoulder season and many places were already closed. The Wyatt House was open, but only if anyone showed up for the tour. We checked in across the street at the Archives/Historical Society -- and they phoned the woman to come and give the two of us a tour. Lovely home with lots of interesting history... More

To be perfectly honest, it was the promise of ice cream and rhubarb punch (Autumn flavours) that really attracted me to the Wyatt House Museum, but it would have been well worth going even without them. Our guide was friendly and informative and we were able to ask questions as we went along. It wasn't so much a snapshot in... More

The tour guide was a charming young woman who really knew her stuff. The stories and items in the house made it feel like you got to know the family who lived there. This did not have the cold feel of a typical historic home visit. This feels like a loved home. A very enjoyable visit to a special home.

My friend and I absolutely loved this tour! The house itself is well maintained and beautifully presented with original items owned by the family. The tour guide, Marie, was excellent, knowledgeable and took the time to explain each room in detail. We HIGHLY recommend this excursion if you are in Summerside!

Completely furnished with beautiful antiques, dishes, dresser sets....looks like the owner is just gone for the afternoon.

Enjoyed the beauty of the old style architecture and the original contents of the house. Great stories of residents and sightings of ghosts in the building. Hid from us though.

So many of the old home you get to tour do not have the original contents. This one was different. The house and contents had been donated to the city of Summerside. The lady. giving us the tour, was super knowledgeable and not in a great hurry to get through the tour. Lots of little anecdotes and interesting things about... More

Wyatt House Museum was an amazing adventure,We could not believe the amazing artifacts in the home-it was as if the people had stepped out for gorceries-and we came for an up close and personal visit. The tour guide was so knowledgeable re the history of the house ,family and stories. We did the Oddity Tour which was indeed all the "odd" collectables... Absolutely nothing 'odd' about this tour. Pamphlet stated: 'Eerie and Bizarre Happenings. Stories of Ghosts and Spirits. The Unexplained. Odd Artifacts, Strange Customs and Traditions'. Of course I was interested. But all it was, was a tour of an old house. Nothing odd about an old house.
