Nice view!

Passed in front of the cannons lined up, great view from this place. Very nice place to visit, well worth the quick stop.

A genuine piece of the past and a must see for history buffs. While not something that would be regarded as "exciting" it is a pretty "cool" and interesting spot for a 15 - 20 minute visit. Great photo ops. Lots of memories made here. Almost every family in Charlottetown has old photos of children on the cannons taken at... More

So there were a handful of cannons off the boardwalk by the shore in Victoria park. Some of the earlier reviews seem to match what I saw/did, while others seem to describe a completely different place. I'm so confused. Anyway, a lot of bilingual placards describing the military context, and well worth a few minutes while strolling the boardwalk. If... More

Wow! I had no idea this was here. What a pleasant surprise. This was the site of a French fortification that was taken over and used by the British. The cannons are original! Definitely worth a trip!

Cool pit stop on the entrance or exit to Victoria park. Stop by if you can for a quick photo with cannons, and learn a little about how Charlottetown used to be defended

The cannons are mildly interesting. The history is ho-hum. The handrail and the few steps up to the "lookout" are not safe and in need of repair.

Small parking lot so good luck finding a spot but the battery is well taken care of and nice to view. Lots of signage. Great place to stop and view the bay and stretch your legs. Nice running trails along bay.

On the edge of Victoria Park, very near Government House, Prince Edward Battery offers some very interresting information about the history of Charlottetown. Especially appreciated by history buffs.

Great historical stop on the harbour boardwalk. Take the time and make sure to read all the historical signage. Great stories and a lot more history there than even the locals know. Very informative and worth a short visit if even just for the great views of the City/Harbour....ideal picture taking spot. Excellent sunrise/sunset vantage point for nice shots.

Prince Edward Battery is located within Victoria Park in southern Charlottetown. The actual area of the battery is fairly small, but it's still worth a stop. You can view the stone magazine where ammunition was kept, as well as a row of cannon facing the harbor. The most interesting thing about it is walking along the battery, imagining the strategic...
