We took the self guided tour and listened to the tapes as you come to every display. This was very well presented and I learned a few things I did not know about Confederation

Definately worth taking the time to enjoy this important part of Canadian history. The attraction provided headphones to listen to the video presentations as you walked through the exhibits. The format of a current day news team in the 1800's was very comical. Easy to access and parkinng was free. Halifax is a great place to visit with lots to... More

A quite fun, creative & well-presented historical overview of how Canada came to be Canada! Great variety & I especially liked the room presenting the "weather report" with the commentary flowing back & forth between scenes & the weather map. Good for Canadians & international visitors alike & all ages. You do have to watch where you stand regarding hearing... More

The focal centre of Charlottetown has moved downtown over the past forty years and Founders' Hall houses an excellent visitor centre, historical guide and tourist retail facilities which are considerably better than the over-priced tat normally targeted at tourists. Worthwhile tourist trips in horse-drawn vehicles leave from outside. This facility is very much better than the one it replaced and... More

Easy walk from cruise ship terminal. Great visitors' center, lots of information and details about what to see and do in Charlottetown, and elsewhere on Prince Edward Island. Free wi-fi, including public computers. Appreciated the Gift shop on premise, and Dave's Lobster right on location if you want to eat the ubquitous lobster roll as we were there early in... More

Historical site for the birth of Canada as a country. Walk in the main hall where the government officials were hasing out the fine details of becoming ONE country, one tends to feel a little nostalgic.

When visiting the tourist information center in downtown Charlottetown, make sure you take in the "The Birthplace of Conferderation". It was an excellent informative tour. The holovisuals added to the experience. A must see!
