You will experience a guided tour through the original 1894 office building, highlighting the periods of 1920-1932. We’ll visit the Speakeasy and see where the rumrunner’s meetings took place, the boardroom that now features group of seven paintings, and the sampling room that outlines our key markets. The tour also includes an 8 minute production video and a formal whisky tasting. « less

I have been on two tours in the last year and a half. The architecture, the riverfront gardens and the art collection alone are worth the the five dollar admission. For me the highlights of the art collection which is on the second floor are the Group of Seven paintings. The Tom Thompson painting is my favourite. Although few in... More

I have driven by this building countless times over the years and never thought to give it a visit until recently. This is something for the people of Windsor and Essex County to be proud of and it deserves more attention. A beautiful building inside and out. An interesting and inspiring tour that takes you back in time, highlighting a... More

Beautiful historical building on the waterfront, well preserved with original furniture from the prohibition era in the US. Speak easy where Al Capone made deals for rum running. Art work from the Group of Seven. Samplings of Canadian club a must do. More

For a modest fee, about $5, you get to tour the premises and hear some interesting stories. The tour winds up with a tasting of four types of Whiskey at the end an a shot glass for a souvenir. My wife and I were the only ones on our tour, so I do not know how it would be with... More

This is a very impressive place. This was the headquarters for Hiram Walker and his sons. You're taken through this place, actually learning about history as you go. The gorgeous architecture competes with stories about Al Capone for your attention. You're in luck if you like whiskey. You get four samples to taste at the end of the tour. Our... More

I had a few spare hours so went over on a Thursday at 2:00. I was the only one and kinda wondered about going but the tour guide was excellent. Tales of bootlegging, gangsters, and even a story about Windsor becoming an auto town all relate back to the Walkers. The architecture and structure of the building as well as... More

Thanks to TA contributors for letting me know about this! It was a favourite part of our trip to Windsor... and I'm not even a whiskey drinker. Firstly, this is a tour of the old office building and not the factory - but they make that clear upfront. I thought the building was gorgeous, the guide was very engaging, the... More
