I went on the Red, White and Sparkling tour with a friend in August. It was a really easy, fun and affordable day trip. We were picked up from the ROM in a nice SUV and there was only one other person on the tour with us. Dougall and Duncan were our guides and they were knowledgeable, professional, accommodating and fun to chat with. We really enjoyed the variety of vineyards we were brought to, especially 13th Street (do get the pecan butter tarts there, they are amazing). I highly recommend this tour company - I would definitely take another tour with them.

This tour is a value at twice the price. You are transported from downtown Toronto to the region beginning at 9:30a. The vehicle we road in was clean, newer, spacious and comfortable.
Many vineyards are selected to accomodate your visit. You are permitted to taste any and typically all of the offerings from each one. These tastings are without additional charge and included the best of each properties products.
We were educated thorougly in the marketing of Niagara wine with the crippling effect of the LCBO becoming open and obvious.
Our guide was understated, intelligent, polite and very useful.
The area is exploding so it is a very good time to tour and sample the product. My personal favorite was Cabernet Franc Ice Wine.

A great day out, we live in Toronto and have been to the area a few times but never to any of the wineries on the tour. They took us to great boutique vineyards and they all had very good wine. Also it was great being picked up in Toronto and being able to relax on the way there and back. We didn't feel rushed and were able to take as long as we wanted at all the wineries. Highly recommended!

I went on the wind tours Toronto in August 2013 with my daughter and had a wonderful time. We were picked up in toronto in a very nice SUV. We had only one other couple with us, which made the tour very private. When they picked us up we had coffee and pastries provided for us as well as bottled water. They chatted with the group about the tour as we traveled to Niagara on the Lake. They gave us a print out on the wineries we would be visiting, and later on in the day they gave up the option to see a different winery or continue with the booked agenda. At the wineries we were left to try the different wines and we never felt rushed. It was very nice to be able to relax and enjoy the day without the worry of having to have someone in your group drive. It was a wonderful day and I would highly recomend the tour.

We went on our tour with Dougall as our leader. I don't know how it could have been any better! He planned all of our stops and each winery was very different. Dougall was very accommodating, putting up with 7 women drinking wine would surely try your patience but Dougall didn't seem to mind. Just a great day. We will definitely do it again!

I was fortunate to be part of a group that went on a tour with “Wine Tours Toronto” to wineries in the Niagara Region. We had a great start with coffee and pastries -- all part of WTT’s service. Our first stop was The Foreign Affair Winery. If you knew me, you’d know I rarely go on about wines---now vodka, that’s a different story. However, during the tastings something magical occurred. I sampled a wine “Cabernet Franc”. OMG—I had to have it!! Our day also included tours of different wineries, their inner workings, tastings, and we even attended the opening of the winery “Vieni” , where wine, food and music were abundant – not to mention their Grappa, which they call “Graspa”—WOW!!.
Our driver/tour leader Dougall, picked up on my preference for vodka and made an unscheduled stop at a new distillery, “Dillon’s. Their vodka is distilled from local Niagara wine grapes. My personal review, “More please!!”
We had a wonderful day. Wine Tours Toronto is a friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating tour service. All this and door to door service--the day was a great success! I will definitely recommend Wine Tours Toronto to others.

I was trying to organize a wine tour as a day trip as part of my friend's bachelorette weekend, and after calling a number of different group tour companies and being unimpressed by their offerings, I finally stumbled upon Wine Tours Toronto - and I am so lucky that I did! After the first conversation with Dougall, I was impressed by his knowledge of the Niagara and Beamsville wine area, and willingness to customize a trip that would suit my group perfectly! After a few prompt email replies, and reviewing a fully customized itinerary that Dougall suggested for our group (7 ladies in our early thirties), I booked the trip. The pricing was excellent - very competitive and highly worth it for the door to door service that we were provided with.
The service went above all of our expectations. We were picked up from my home in Toronto and greeted with fresh starbucks coffee and pastries from a local bakery! The drive to wine country was airconditioned and comfortable. We visited 3 wineries and one distillery, with a stop for a picnic lunch at one of the wineries. I had requested the picnic stop ahead of time (we had packed our own picnic lunch), and Dougall organized the rest. He reserved a picnic spot at a winery with a beautiful view of the vineyards that was licensed so we could drink some wine with our lunch! He even organized a contingency plan with a room to eat inside the winery in case of rain! Luckily there was no rain and we got to enjoy the view - it was perfect!
All our stops at the wineries and distillery were seamless - we walked right in, the staff were expecting us, and within no time we were treated to our own private tastings and tours. No waiting, no hassles. We couldn't have asked for a better day! The wine trip was the talk fo the rest of the weekend and everyone in the group agreed that the service was amazing and highly recommended! Thanks to Dougall and Wine Tours Toronto for making my friend's bachelorette experience so memorable. We had a blast!

We spent two days with Dougall, Lou and crew for Get Fresh in Twenty Valley. They led a truly memorable and easy weekend of good food and drink!
We were able to hop on a shuttle a few minutes from home and sample wine to our hearts' content - without worrying about a rental car, getting lost, or finding a hotel in the Valley.
The trip was well-organized without being stifling - we had plenty of time at each winery to taste, chat with the staff and buy bottles before heading to the next destination. And an efficient route meant we were able to visit 8+ wineries each day. When guests expressed interest in visiting a new distillery not on our route, our guide happily obliged.
We heartily recommend this service for any city-dwellers who want a great weekend winery experience without the hassle.

My husband and I really enjoyed this wine experience....I know "nothing" about wine and my husband knows "just a little more" (...even though he wants to think he knows "a lot"...) but, anyway, I knew he is interested in the world of wine...So, I found Wine Tours Toronto and it has been exactly what we were looking for and more. This experience was not only about the wine tasting - we visited 4 fantastic wineries with cheese pairing and lunch at Aure Winery - we had a fantastic host in Dougall who put together a wonderful day while touring these wineries...Excellent!!!

Nice casual wear is best, and sensible footwear - layers are a good idea as well.
