It was something new for my boyfriend and I to try. My boyfriend was a bit skeptical as to whether it would actually be funny. He was laughing the whole way through! And I definitely found them funny. It was a great evening. Time went by so fast because they just kept it going. There wasn't an awkward silence or... More

It was a great comedy show. This was my second time here and I enjoyed it tremendously. My husband, who usually does not care for comedy clubs, really enjoyed this show. There is not a bad seat in the house, and the comedians stay to do a n improv after the show.

Obviously it is hard to compare a comedy club to, say, a theater but if you have a spare evening in Toronto, you may enjoy this one. It is my understanding that they have "Second City" in Chicago too. So I maybe wrong, but I sensed some adaptations from Chicago / Illinois everyday life, which might not be very relevant... More

My husband and I saw the current show, Sixteen Scandals, which was a laugh at Toronto and all its personalities. Be sure to brush up on your city trivia before attending, because we heard everything from Rob Ford to Etobicoke to Sneaky Dee's mentioned. If you are in a small group, they seat you with other patrons, which is cool... More

We went here with some business associates and it had huge reviews. The show is just ok in my opinion as the humour is based largely on the current events and local news. Overkill of some subject matter and to be honest just not that funny. I would rather spend money on something else as I believe it's overrated for... More

My coworker really wanted to go here during our business trip and so glad we did. It was a short walk from our hotel, the service was great (loved that you were not forced to order 2 drinks like they do at Comedy Works), and the show was exactly what I expected...hilarious! And so reasonable on a weekday evening.

The #1 thing my high school age daughter wanted to do during our trip to Toronto was go to Second City. I was hesitant, but agreed. We saw the 'Best of' show on a Monday night. Laughed from start to finish. The improv section was a riot. One thing to know - AC was cranked. Bring a sweater. We felt... More

There isn't much to say other than to highly recommend Second City to anyone living in or visiting Toronto. The players were fantastic actors and comedians. The energy in the room was electric, and we enjoyed non-stop laughs through all of the sketches. Simply fantastic.

This is a cabaret-style theatre, and although the days of the classic ensemble are long gone (Martin Short, John Candy, Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis.....), the current players are very good. The skits are funny, but the players were much less impressive during the improv segment...I guess it's pretty rare for a performer to excel at that.
