We came to Second City on a Monday night for the eight o'clock show and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! The actors are incredibly impressive, they take whatever is thrown at them and they make it work, it's hilarious. There's no way I can adequately convey how fun this is, definitely go!!! While not quite what I expected - we enjoyed our evening at Second City. They managed to be entertaining while avoiding offending the Americans beside us.

Of course, comedy is so subjective. Some will love it, some will not. I love comedy, and I think that overall it was pretty good. The performance was almost 2 hours, with a small break. In almost 2 hours I found some of the comedy 'OK', but I thought most of it was 'excellent'. The staff is amazing. They take... More

When I bought tickets for Second City, I did not expect to have a good time but I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. They serve food and have waiters who come around. The theatre is small so the doors are shut once the show begins. The show started with a rehersed sketch and ended with a... More

We went to see click bait and switch at Second City. We went to the 10pm show. It started a bit late, so the entrance was very packed while waiting until the doors opened. Also tough to make it to the bar, but since you get served as soon as you get your seat, all is good. Most of the... More

We didn't love the show. It seemed boring and over scripted and the jokes were very cliche. They did improv at the end which was much more entertaining. I expected more of Second City.

We found Second City to be fantastic for our teens, 14 and 17, for a New Year's Eve night out. We watched Click, Bait and Switch, which had an amazing cast and good, solid writing, not too R-rated for the kids. The food items were pretty bland and greasy (chicken strips, tortillas, fries) so we didn't try anything. We had... More

Most skits are funny, but some do fall flat which I guess varies with the audience and the night, otherwise they would get changed??? U often share a table with someone else, I had a beer only, but food snacks are offerer end. A good way to spend a few hours with some laughs.

I saw "Unwrapped." This was my first experience at The Second City. The actors were funny and entertaining but there was one sketch that made fun of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus which was disgraceful and unnecessary. I've contacted the theater's administration and requested that offensive sketch be removed.

Laughing is not a bad way to spend an evening. The comedians did a great job entertaining the crowd. The first two sets were better than the last.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
