What a great way to spend a few hours cruising around on a tall ship. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon as we left the harbour on board there is a selection of food and drinks. The crew are great singing songs as they work away and they invite help from the passengers to help raise the sails. Not for... More

We really enjoyed this trip, although they just sail out of the harbour and then head back in again. It does give a fantastic view of Toronto's waterfront, and a very different boat trip from what most of us are used to. There is a bar on board with reasonable prices and a restaurant that we did not try. The... More

This is an actual tall ship that sails the Toronto water front. Very cool and on a hot summer day you will get a nice breeze out on the lake. What a way to do it! The ship is fun and you can hear the sails then in the wind. Relaxing and a great addition to any trip to TO!!

We had a Groupon coupon for Tall Ship Kajama and as it was late in the season, I feared that it would be a cold ride, but we had beautiful weather and it was only cool on the return trip in to shore. Crew was humourous with their sailing songs and boat left and returned exactly at the times scheduled.... More

The tour was very nice with great views and great crew. Coming from out of town (one hour's drive), we thought we had arrived in plenty of time for our cruise, but despite the GPS saying we had arrived at our location, we could not find it. After driving back and forth for 55 minutes and several unsuccessful attempts to... More

If you are a real ceiling fan, then these cruises can be interesting and fun, especially if you enjoy the tall ships. However, unlike tall ships you might experience in the Caribbean or cooler waters, the ships that are stationed here in Toronto frankly, are a little long in the tooth. Typically the food on the ships is mediocre at... More

My wife and I went on the tall ship cruise thinking it would be something neat to do.... It honestly was boring, they packed us on to the point it was hard to find a place to stand with a view.. Dear Wintercamper We are very sorry your expectations were not met on the cruise. There are certain dates that we sell out and it does get busy. Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
