I recently took the Parisian Macaron class, which was really fun! Lindsay was a very dynamic and engaging teacher. She gave a lot of pointers that you just can't learn from recipe books or YouTube baking videos. Our macarons turned out great and I'm really excited to try them on my own sometime again soon. I would go back to... More

I took the Parisian Macaroon class with Lindsay yesterday, and the Donut Making Class in May 2015. Both were fun, and informative! Lindsay is a wonderful teacher. She provides great tips and "cheats" to guide you (the donut proof line, the bubble test for the macaroon sugar syrup) , so when you try to make these wonderful creations at home,... More

I took the summer tart class today with my girlfriends. It was so fun! Lindsay was very knowledgeable and led us through a fairly easy, but versatile, recipe. A great choice for groups or singles.

This was a wonderful experience. They were able to find room in their macaron class for my 11 year old daughter. She loves baking, has been obsessed and wanting making macarons for a long time, and was very excited. The class more than lived up to anything she could have expected. Chef Emily was amazing. She was friendly, funny, and... More

One of my friends said she'd like to learn to make French macarons, and of course I would too - I mean all those petit pieces of heaven, who wouldn't! Found this place online and thanks to all the positive reviews, went to spend a Saturday learning. The instructor was amazing, she really knows her stuff and, most importantly, shared... More

My friend and I walked into this shop by accident a few months ago and fell in love with the cakes on display. Luckily, we discovered that they held baking and decorating classes of all sorts! We decided to start off with a class that would teach us how to make the the most difficult cookie there is to make... More

I had the great pleasure of participating in the donut making class with two friends. The class instructor, Lindsay, was amazing. She was very insightful and instructive on the science behind making donuts and fritters - all while being personable and light hearted in order to make the class inclusive and easy going. The two hours went by incredibly fast... More

I actually won two spots in the croissant and Danish class this past Sunday and decided to take my mom with me. I live very closeby and have already purchased an anniversary cake from Le Dolci (which was both stunning and delicious) and have had my eye on their classes for quite some time. Chef Lindsay (hope this is the... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
