I love the concept of being eco-friendly. It was interesting to hear from our driver, Steve, that this pedi-cab is built in Germany of, what did he say, 2,600 discarded water bottles? The concept is great what with cover from the elements for both the driver and the passengers. But it also has some flaws. Mother Nature threw two curveballs... More

We are from the GTA, and took this tour to see the sights and let my son become more familiar with his surrounding in T.O. Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about Toronto, old and new. We felt secure in the EcoCab as we toured the streets. Great idea.

We were only in Toronto for a day, and wanted a quick intro to the sights of the city area. EcoCab was perfect for us - pickup point was close to our hotel and easy to find. Our driver, Winston, was a great source of information about the different areas and buildings, and gave us some great tips on things... More

For my birthday this weekend, a group of friends and I participated in the Scavenger Hunt. It was great! The drivers were fun and enthusiastic. They were very accommodating to our large group. We found the hunt fun and exciting and laughed a lot. We were still talking about it hours into the night and would recommend it to anyone... More

Sweet ....my nephew's favorite quick positive response describes the tour. The tour gave us a good over view of the city with history, local facts as well as a polite, professional, courteous tour guide. Good tip for a sports themed restaurant for my baseball crazed nephew completed the experience.

Looking for a fun way to spend a friends birthday I stumbled upon a treasure hunt in Toronto, what a blast! This would appeal to any age! We are 4 mature ladies and we had a great time. The cab was very clean and comfortable and the tour guides were so much fun. Listen to all their instructions and make... More

We completed the scavenger hunt with ecocab today, and it was a BLAST! Our driver, Winston, was very knowledgable and fun. He gave us interesting tidbits of information as we completed our scavenger hunt stops. Ecocab had excellent communication with us prior to the event. The ecocab itself was fun to ride around in, and Winston knew everywhere to stop... More

My friend & I completed the 1 hour scavenger hunt in Toronto this past weekend. We weren't sure what to expect but it ended up being a lot of fun! They were very prompt which I appreciated and we started our hunt on time. The rules of the hunt were explained to us and we were on our way. We... More

We started from the Skydome (Home of the Blue Jays) in downtown Toronto. The tour guide acted very professionally and seemed to know his history and geography very well. The ride was open but we felt safe and comfortable. When we asked to stop for a while to visit some shops in "Kensington Market" the driver obliged and offered tips... More

A fun, easy, slow, street-level way to get an introduction to the city. Surprisingly comfortable seating and ride. Our guy Dillon is was very bright, courteous, enthusiastic and energetic tour guide.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
