My girlfriend and I visited last week on Christmas Eve with the Groupon deal. I understand sometimes the arrangement (ex: the way of posting checks) may be different if the guest is bringing some coupon, that is why I indicated, when I was calling to make a reservation, that we are using the Groupon deal. HOWEVER, that did not make... More

I am not surprised to read the review below. I was shocked by the terrible customer service and appalling conditions of the spa. Nobody was there to greet us when we checked in, all the staff was apparently new and didn't know how to operate the computer, where the change rooms were (I was shown to a bathroom instead), where... My girlfriend and I had a girls' day - first massage then high tea. I called in advance requesting for 2 female therapists. When we arrived and got changed, one female and one male therapist greeted us. My friend took the male therapist. When we told the receptionist, she apologized. But that was it! She showed no sympathy and didn't... More

Went for a monthly facial special and have to say I was disappointed. Very cramped spaces and dirty locker room. It has such great potential on being exclusive but they missed the mark. That is too bad for such a gorgeous old building. The therapist was very nice but kept dragging things across the floor and I could hear someone... More

My mother, sister and I went to the spa for my sister's birthday. Mother and sister both got facials and I got a massage. Massage was amazing, service was incredible, we had access to all the amenities. My mother came from her facial glowing while my sister had a few extra facial marks. We thought it no big deal at... The setting is quiet with a serene lounge where you can relax with a tea or coffee overlooking the city while you wait for your service. The massage was fabulous and we were well looked after. They have a sauna and a small salt-water pool at the perfect temperature to chase away the early winter chills.

Very personalized service, very quiet spa, very clean, staff very friendly; I go to this spa monthly and have done so for past year; combine spa visit with old fashioned afternoon tea (reserve well ahead)

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
