My family and I had a great time in the Distillery District with Segway of Ontario and tour guides Erik Bell and Will Ennis. Erik also was nice enough to shuffle the schedule around last Thursday afternoon when it rained so we could go later when the skies were sunny and perfect. Although we'd been on a Segway before, the... More

Gavin gave us a one hour walking tour of the area. As we were the only ones signed up it was a private tour. The tour is a bit light on things to see but the history aspect was interesting. We stopped at Mill St brewery and a chocolate shop (I don't recall the name) and they were fun although... More

This tour is absolutely a must do! Erik and Joseph were our guides for the haunted Segway tour. They were both funny, personable, and entertaining! The instruction received by both made the segways easy to operate, it only took a few minutes to get comfortable with maneuvering them. The tour was very interesting, Erik narrated the tour telling us of... More

This was our very first time on a Segway and boy was it fun. It's not hard to get used to and easy to operate. We had a wonderful tour through the Distillery District. Gavin and Jen were great tour guides. The stop for chocolate and beer was a nice little bonus. We would absolutely do this again!!!!

We took the hour long tour which includes a stop at a chocolatier and a brew pub for samples at each. The tour was simple, but nice. It's always fun using Segways to go around. I wished there was more distance and substance in the tour, though this is a typical experience for me with Segway tours.

This was a great fun tour of the Distillery District with our guides who were very knowledgable. A stop for chocolate and beer tasting was a bonus. Definitely a worthwhile activity while you're in Toronto.

My family and I had a fabulous time doing the Segway tour at the Distillery district. Not only was it quite interesting, we also got a lot of fun facts and trivia. Our guide, Eric was awesome!!! The staff initially does a short training for safety on the Segway before doing the tour and that relieved us of our initial... More

Great fun for my son and husband, super friendly staff! A little pricy but worth it. The area is kind of congested but able to maneuver and explore the area.

Earlier in the year we had done our first Segway tour in Prague and we were keen to repeat the experience. We booked the short 30 minute tour of the Distillery district for mid morning. 6 of us did the tour with 2 guides. It was relatively quiet and we were able to get around the Disterilly district very easily.... More

This tour is absolutely excellent. The staff for this are great, they know their stuff (both the Segway and the area). The tour is full of interesting history, even if you don't love history, you will enjoy it. We did the 30 min tour which was great as it gave us a chance to test out the Segway (first time)... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
