Had a fantastic tour led by Joseph during the winter holidays. My husband and I did the walking tour and loved every minute of it. It was amazing to learn more about Toronto's past. My favourite part was learning about how drunk everyone was all the time. Must do activity for anyone visiting the city!

Much more fun, and much easier , than I'd imagined. I'm a Torontonian and thought I might feel like a tourist nerd motoring around on a segway. Not a bit. New, fun experience for my daughter and I. Will, our teacher and guide was excellent; personable, informal and informative. Cudos to him. A recommended experience!

We had a great time - This was a corporate event and we learned to operate the Segway and took a historical tour!

Josh and Logan were enthusiastic tour guides. The students enjoyed the humorous and informative anecdotes. I will definitely take my students with these guides in the future.

I was travelling with my children & their partners & was booked onto The Distillery & Prohibition Walking Tour. Our guide Gavin was very knowledgable & amusing. Learnt so much about the subject in a fun way. Had a beer tasting which wasn't expected & the tour ending with whisky tasting which the whisky drinkers amongst us would thoroughly recommend.

On a dull December day, we took the Distillery District tour, and the experience became the highlight of my time in Toronto! The tour guide (Gavin) was energetic and spoke enthusiastically about his topic, sharing new and interesting facts. Ending the tour with a chocolate and beer tasting was perfect! I'd highly recommend this tour! Great value!

I've always wanted to ride a segway... and planned my trip to Toronto two days before departure; and in doing so, looked into the possibility of riding a segway. From booking to training to the actual tour, the staff of Segway of Ontario truly delivered the level of excellence beyond expectations. Our tour guide, Josh, was a great trainer and... More

This was awesome! My sister and I did this both because we love ghost stories, and thought it'd be interesting to ride a segway... This tour delivered. The guide, Joseph, was informative and very funny. His colleague, Josh, was also very helpful rearing the tour. I'll be telling my friends about this for a while!!

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
