The island is very clean and well-maintained. The paths to the beach are clearly marked. The beach is well maintained and is a nice alternative for folks who can't get to the ocean shore.

The best views of the Toronto skyline can be found here. There are parks, beaches, activities for families nearby , a tram, bike paths, etc.

It is a great beach and the people are friendly. Bring sunscreen, beverages and snacks. Portable lawn chairs are good, but a beach towel to lay on works. Do not over do it as as the beach is at least a half hour walk from the ferry terminal. The water was clear and not too chilly. Hopefully next time friends... More

This end of the island is far away from anything - any this is the best thing. The airport is close but does not disturb you at the beach. One word of warning though: It is partly clothes optional.

Bear in mind this is a clothing-optional beach, so it's only good for a stroll if you don't mind sharing it with people who are letting it all hang out ;)

We went for a walk around the island & it's really nice. Nothing extravagant, but its calm & clean. It has the famous lighthouse on the island too & you great great views of the skyline. it is kind of noisy with the airport right there but nothing too disturbing like Pearson.

Hanlan's point in general is a great section of the island. It has tennis courts and picnic grounds, but the beach... well, it's suppose to be a clothing optional beach. The term is used because it's a public beach and thus, the city can't say "nude" is mandatory. Given this and it's easy access, it unfortunately sees too many people... More

I LOVE Hanlan's Point so much I started my business renting beach chairs and umbrella's 13 years ago. I love my office :-) I love the eclectic mixture of people and the fact people who go there are generally happy...as it's the one place they WANT to be..away from the worries and complexities of life. I love the fact people... More

quite dirty, what a difference after the central island; turns out most visitors are those "pride" people whose bihaviour we found unacceptable do not go there unless you belong to that "proud" community
