Shoes tell quite the history of society. Shoes from various cultures and times in history were displayed. There was a roaring 20's special exhibit with movie and clothes of the times as well as famous people's shoes! (Elvis, Madonna...)

My family wanted to go somewhere interesting for the Family Day weekend, we were planning on going to the Science Centre, but with my teenage daughters recent facination with Shoes we thought this museum would be a perfect fit...and it was! This museum was a highlight of my first trip to Toronto. Full of new knowledge about a rather "pedestrian" subject! Fascinating to see shoes from different historical periods--often shoes I had only read about in books. Nicely designed building and exhibits.
