Spadina Museum is older, better preserved and more interesting than Spadina. Three generations of the Austin family lived here from 1866 right up to the 1980s, and the last remaining inhabitant wanted it to become a museum, so left all the original furnishings, paintings, pictures and other objects. Possibly overlooked because of it nearby neighbor, the Casa Loma, the Spadina mansion shouldn't be. It is a terrific look into the life of the wealthy life of the Austins.
