Had a great time with our guide last Wednesday touring this interesting area. Even stopped for a great coffee and a bite of fresh bagels. Fantastic!

Went on the Kensington-Chinatown tour and it was wonderful - we learned some history of the areas, had some restaurants recommended to us (which were right on the mark) and saw alot in the short time we were on the tour. The Graffiti portion was an added bonus. Dave our tour guide was animated, knowledgeable and clearly wants his customers... More

It was a wonderful and relaxing Beer tour and the Tour Guide was very knowledgeable about beer history and about Toronto's history with beer and booze! Tasted some of the nicest beers in town! Overall a very nice experience! Will recommend to others!

If your looking for something a little outside your typical excursion, look no farther. My husband and I were at the pre arranged pick up spot, assuming there would be others going on this tour. On time our tour guide James showed ,up on time and explained we were the only two going on this tour. He explained they would have... More

James from Urban review was spot on, mixing interesting facts about Kensington and Chinatown along with history of the area, rock n roll and food. Highly reccomend.

Directions for where to meet and what we would be doing were spot on. Unfortunately, we picked a semi-rainy day for a walking tour, but still enjoyed everything that we did. Mike was prepared with historical photos, interesting stories, and witty banter relating to our stops through Chinatown and Kensington Market. He made recommendations for eating and shopping, and pointed... More

Our tour guide Jason lived many years in Toronto's Kensington Market and had to share many interesting aspects of the history and life in this vibrant quarter. Jason is well educated in the culture of urban graffiti and gave us an introduction to the topic with some great examples in Kensington.

Having arrived in Toronto with no real plan of what to do during my stay, I decided I'd try out the "beer makes history better" tour which was due to start at 1400 later that day. After meeting the tour guide Mike, we headed out on what was easily the most enjoyable tour I have experienced. From the cool obscure... More

My partner and I did the Chinatown/Kensington Market tour on Monday. Nobody else had signed up so we had the privilege of doing a private tour with our guide James. It was fun and informative and we would definitely recommend this tour especially to those who are interested in the Kensington Market as most of the time was spent in... More

First off, my wife and I really enjoyed the tour. We went with 5 other people, so it was nice and intimate. Our guide was great, really knew his stuff about the city and you could tell he was big into craft beer, which was great. My only recommendation would be is when you are arriving at the different bars... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
