I was quite impressed by the sheer volume of ceramics that were on display in the museum. Every display has information regarding the history of that type of ceramic, etc. I also enjoyed the special Day of the Dead exhibit that is currently being shown at the museum. The detail work on those ceramics was astounding. I think my only... more

The breadth of the collection is outstanding (only solely ceramics museum collection in North America.) Yes there are other museums that have nice small collections in the US within a large institution (Norfolk, New Orleans, Hartford, Williamstown, etc.) but there must have been a thousand examples on display. This "specialty" museum was recommended to us by a Toronto resident who suggested that it was a better choice than either Casa Loma or the Bata Shoe Museum if we only could visit one.
