This, like so many other tours starting in large cities, makes several pick ups from Downtown hotels before you can get going. We drove to the Royal Tours office to pick up our driver/guide and then headed off to Niagara. Our man was informative and friendly. We parked close to where we picked up the boat. It’s well organised and... More

Without going into any detail of disaster that threatened to derail a hugely expensive once-in-a-lifetime trip to Niagara Falls for us and 12 other tourists may we suggest before booking a tour with either Royal or Zoom, you take note of the following points: The core problematic issues are the, as yet unexplained, link between Royal Tours and Zoom Tours... This is mesmerising, the power of the water going over is stunning, we went down onto the appron right next to the falls at the base, (take a hooded Mac) the roar of it is overwhelming, you can actually go inside the rock as well, it sounds like a 100 trains going by second by second, there are good cafes... We were in Toronto for a Gift Show and had Saturday free to check out the sites so my friend and I decided to go to Niagara Falls. We did have access to a vehicle but thought it would be easier to have a guide since both of us had not been to the Niagara area before. I am so... More

Excellent service! Garry, our driver, was very nice and professional. We had a great time and I recommend this company if you want to book a tour to Niagara Falls.

This is a must do if you go Canada Toronto in my eyes. Breathe taking and worth every penny. Make sure you pay extra and do the boat ride up to the falls. Great place for pics every lasting memories. 100% must do. I don't have any bad things to say about it.

We use TripAdvisor for almost everything and carefully read the reviews when traveling. We looked this company up and everything was positive. Went to our hotels concierge to have them book for us. They said that they had never heard of this company before and recommended another well known company. They called for us asked our questions and said that... More

We booked online from Australia. All worked extremely well and Heidi our Tour Leader arrived on time to pick us up from the Hotel. There were only four on the tour and Heidi showed us extra sights. Loved the touristy things - tasting ice wine - walking through Niagara on the Lakes. We did the helicopter tour (reduced cost because... More

We booked with Royal Tours on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews, though it was a Zoom Tour minibus that turned up! Garry, our driver, gave us a full day and the weather was great. The Falls and the boat ride were an amazing experience though Niagara Falls resort is just a place to spend money! One suggestion - we liked... More

My first experience was fabulous. My nine colleagues and I had a fabulous time on the Royal Tour of Niagara Falls. What a pleasant experience; no lines, special access, and a very knowledgeable tour leader. My friends and I got so wet, but we had our handy "rain" ponchos. It was a blast and an amazing experience!!! we highly recommend... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
