If you are visiting and are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, the Toronto Islands are a great place to go and relax. If you have kids take them to Centreville. The ferrys can be a bit of a pain.

There was a large line-up for the ferry. Actually, it wasn't a line-up, it was more of a gathering. People with bikes, babies, and coolers. People cutting in line and from the sides. No employees in site. If you are a jerk, you can easily walk around the line and enter from the side and skip a few hundred places...

Bikes to rent is fantastic.
Where is the food?
What about bocce or a little crochet. That would make it really new
and exciting.

I am local and come to centre island at least 4 times each summer with my family! I even have a seasons pass. Its greta for the kids and peaceful for the adults. It is not like Canadas Wonderland where the environment is hectic and not peaceful!

We travelled through Toronto to get the ferry over to Centre Island. It was a beautiful hot day and the ferry only took about 10 minutes to cross onto the island. We had a ride on the land train that took us around the island. We stayed on the lovely beach for a while and then had something to eat...

Take the ferry out to the islands and enjoy being away from the city. Be sure to walk the boardwalk from Centre Island to Wards Island.
