This is a great quick escape from the busy Toronto we all know and love. There is lots of walking. Unfortunately the bug population has increased since I was a kid there. And if you are like me and go off exploring the smaller islands and wooded areas no one knows about. But the biggest downside that really made the... More

Wonderful way to spend a day with a young family. Boat ride to the island is fun for everyone, with a great view of the city as you cross. Nice park, and fun rides/attractions for the kids. A much smaller, calmer way to treat the kids compared to the larger Wonderland attraction north of the city. Most rides are for... More

When you want to get away from it all but just can't get out of town try a trip to Centre Island. It's a great getaway, with a small rocky beach, great walking and rollerblading paths and little park for kids and the yacht club. Makes a great easy getaway for the day. It's also a great place for engagement... More

So relaxing to get out of the chaos - hire a bike and explore - sitting on a beach in the sunshine or oggling the many gorgeous little holiday homes. Its the first place i head to when in Toronto.

Taking the ferry to and walking around Centre Island is a quick, relatively inexpensive way to see the waterfront and to get some fresh air. The little midway, Centreville, can be fun with kids under 12. Check out the antique merry go round.

this is the place to go, especially since Ontario Place is long gone; Centre Island aka Centreville is a great attraction to take kids of all ages and even adults. There are places in which you can have a picnic and even a BBQ - and there is a beach! This is the place to be. Don't forget to visit... More
