I have made several trips to FWHP. From the time I was in elementary school and engaged in many learning experiences from the blacksmith shop to the kitchen. It is a well maintained establishment and is fun and informative for the entire family I highly recommend this venture for all ages

We have been to many an historic venue. This is by far world class. Portrayers never come out of character no matter how you try. They are very authentic and knowledgable. So much to see. Plan on twice as long as you think and lunch is great as well.

I have always enjoyed going to The Fort. 40 years later, I still like checking out the living history at the site.

Old fort brings you back to life of the explorers when they arrived in this part of Ontario. The native culture and life for both living together growing the country. You will share this experience with family, friends, children and grandchildren .

This was the highlight of our trip to Thunder Bay! We scored buy one get one tickets which made it even better. We were there about 2.5 hours. It was a weekend but happily, quite empty. All the employees were in costume and did a great job describing the life and times of the fort. They weren't too cheesy, and... More

History was interesting and overall a good place to visit for all ages. I would go again. Shuttle is a plus as it makes transportation easier.

We had a great day with our 15 year old daughter! She shot a black powder musket and has called it the highlight of her trip! We would visit again.

Interesting and entertaining experience for history buffs and non-history buffs alike. The "actors" who populate the park do a great job bringing you into the experience, though expect a little good-natured teasing from them. While I wish the guided tour of the fort was longer, there is plenty to see on your own; definitely enough to fill an entire afternoon.... More

The walk into the park was lengthy but they did offer a shuttle. The visitors center at the main gain was amazing - lots to see there. The fort itself was fun - lots of activities and learning, employees stayed in full character, which was fun for the kids. We were able to witness a fun re-enactment at the fort... More
