I really love visiting FWHP and they keep on hosting great events, so we keep returning. We appreciate the dedication of the staff to making the visits fun and informative, and love the beautiful setting.

Every time I've ever been, I've learned something new. The people working in the Fort ARE the voyageurs, the fur traders and the women who settled Fort William...and they don't break character for anything. Every single employee is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and appear to love their jobs. I've been as an adult with friends, as a parent with my... More

Amazing aesthetic, immersive atmosphere, ...the staff is brilliant, and the free-roaming wee critters are complete, joyful show stealers. There's so much "awesome" at this... More

The history of the fur trade and the information provided is wonderful. Its like being in the period. Well worth the visit. Pretend you are back in the day.

I have always had an interest in Canadian history, and this is officially one of my favourite Canadian history locales now. The guides and actors are... More

This place is one of Thunder Bay's coolest attractions. It has a lot of history great vignettes prepared by local actors to give you an interesting way of looking at the history of the area. They have events for family going on year round round but the summertime is fun when you can go and look at different camps and... More

The Fort William Historical Park rates among the top historical attractions in Canada. During the summer interpreters take on roles appropriate to the time. Pow wows are a must see!
