Every thing was bang on with details of our past history. The tour guides were very accurate in conveying the story. Would recommend a stop here.

They hold many events year round at the Fort that are well attended. There is nothing not to like there . The food is excellent like the voyagers used to eat nice hardy beef stew is one of my favs.Awesome opportunities for students to work at during the summer months.

Wow, what a fort. Even though this is not the original location for this fort it is one of the best reproductions I have ever seen. Tour guides are well versed in the history of the fort and they have a humor about them in there presentation. Beautiful antiques from the period of the fort and a garden with beautiful... More

Toured the facility and listened to some of the talk about the significance of the area. There is quite a bit of walking involved. There were some activities available however we did not participate in any.

The fort is fully restored and has dozens of young and old actors living the life as in days gone by, Authentic costumes and they are all knowledgeable of the history and life style of that era. If you go you need 2 to 4 hours. The fees are a bit high at $23.00 per person.

The guides all dressed and playing parts from the period of the original Fort were really interesting and informative. Somehow it's not easy to find, but don't give up it's very much worth thre search

This was really enjoyable for our whole family (kids- toddler to 9 yr old). The staff was great- seemed to go out of their way to teach, provide hands on experiences, and show fun things. A great place to visit!

I'm quite familiar with Lower Fort Gary and Fort Gibraltor in Manitoba, but Fort William takes it up a notch !! The day easily slipped by on us as we enjoyed the many re enactors ( many who really got into their roles), the well kept old buildings and wigwams and artifacts, the look at life in another time, the staged... The fort itself is very impressive. There are many buildings, all well kept and filled with interesting furnishings. The "players" were knowledgeable but more than once we entered major locations that were empty. It seemed that somehow we had missed out on the tour: we started in one, but when we were brought to the first two buildings, the main... More

Sooo glad we made this stop. We were concerned this was going to be a boring stop but our son really wanted to go. But ended up really enjoying the tour, history and well kept facilities. I would not recommend eating in the canteen, yes the prices were good but the food not soo much.
